Nokia E62 / E61

does anyone know how to add a pause or wait to a phone number so that access codes can be programmed into a number and automatically dialed after a pause or wait, like older Nokia phones could do?

I was trying one out today in the Cingular store and it would let me open excel files from my email that are protected. Protected meaning that the are made to be read only.

Any way to change that?

Is there a way to download Blackberry Messenger or Google Talk to the Nokia E62.

If I buy an unlocked E62 or E70 can I use it with Sprint? If so, is it as easy as taking the SIM card out of my current/active phone and putting it in the Nokia?

I have my Gmail set up as a POP on my E62. I just have the unlimited MediaNet plan and don't need the push email, etc. of a Blackberry connect.

When I am opening and retrieving email in Gmail, it connects to my Google Gmail" and says "This site has sent an untrusted certificate, Continue anyay?" Then I have to select either Continue or Certificate Details. After selecting continue, I do get my email.

But this pop up makes it impossible to get my email at timed intervals during the day automatically.

On my older Treo 600, I had this message appear and I don't remember how I got it never to appear again and download email automatically.

The specs say that this phone doesn't have flight mode, but surely something targeted at blackberry users has fight mode. Are the specs right? Is it missing flight mode?

After reading all the good reviews (and bad) I went to my local Cingular store to look at the E62. They did not have the phone in stock but did have a non-working demo model for display. I was very disappointed in the case. It seemed to be cheap plastic and made the phone look old.

Is the actual E62/E61 this way or was this just the non-working mock-up that made it look cheap?

for me .. to be honest .. id want the one thats more like a side kick .. some surfing and checkin my sites .. email from aol and yahoo .. chatting on AIM and Yahoo

would use it for appointments and such but only as a planner type nothing heavy

I have set up the phone for use with the cingular mail express and gmail. Unfortunately, whenever, I connect to receive mail, all existing messages on the phione are cleared. Any way to fix this? Thanks

I have a Nokia E62 and see there is client programs for AIM & Yahoo Messenger on the phone. My question is.... Is there anyway to be logged into both so if I get a IM from a AIM user it comes through or a Yahoo user? Or can only one be used at a time?

I had a Treo 600 and I used a third party IM program (Verichat) that let me set up my Yahoo & AIM and displayed ALL my buddies on my buddy list. They either had the AIM running man logo or Yahoo face logo next to their name. So I could easily click on one of them and send a IM or they could easily send one to me.

Is there any third party program like that for the E62 phone? Or a way that the client program can do that? It would be much easier for me just to have one IM service, but I have...

I'm confused, but I'm still new to my E62. What is the difference on deleting email in user settings, where it says "delete emails from:" Either Phone (header remains) or Phone and Server?

For example, if I get my email on my E62 while outside, I still want to be able to receive it on my desktop when I run my outlook at home.

However, if I select "remove from phone (header remains)" how long does it stay on my phone? Hard to explain, but when I am in the "@" tab of my email, I don't want to always see those headers, I want it cleaned up, unless I have one or two I want to keep?

Can I use this phone with just the basic Cingular service or do I need to get a PDA service?

I've paired the two but can't get the phone to switch to the H700. Any ideas what I've done wrong. The H700 was functioning on my treo the other day.

Could you please verify, that your E61 phone can play back 3gp video (mpeg4) without any issues? I just returned my E62 because a video playback did not work with 3gp files. The video froze on frame one and did not do anything while the sound was playing. The 3gp file settings were mpeg4, 25fps, 176x144, bitrate 208. The same file plays on my 6682 without any problems.

The problem was duplicated on other E62 phone in Nokia demonstration center. 😲

Please let me know if E61 has the same issue. If not, I will buy E61 today.
