Motorola Q

I've got a Sprint PPC-6700 and am tired of it locking up, constantly "finding" the memory card, and automatically resetting the backlight to never come on.

Can someone highlight the differences between Windows for Pocket PC on my phone vs. what is on the Motorola Q?

Can someone tell me how the heck I get the music onto the card? I do not have a slot on my cardreader for a mini sd card (on my computer).

Wireless sync does not support Hotmail, and the pocket MSN THE Q comes does not offer a push email option.
For you newbies, 'push' email is when the emails you recieve at the server or website are automaically forwarded to your Q as you get them. Theres no "checking" your email. It comes to you in real time.

For you fellow experienced Q users, can you advise a methed or even a 3rd party program that will provide this function?

how is this phone for keeping extensive contact details for personal/work contacts?
What features truely make this different from the Palm phones? or are they pretty similar in what you can do with them?

Can anyone please please tell me how I can use my iTUNES MUSIc by turning it into mp3s and then load onto a card so that I can use them as ringtones for the Q? I am either going to have to figure this out or get a new phone (lg8600). The q tones are driving me crazy because they're SOOOOOOOOOOO boring!

Just ordered my Q for sprint. Do any of you have any pointers or suggestions for a first time Q user?

Just want to make sure that i don't do something stupid with it, and also looking for any hints/tips y'all might have.

Hi...Everyone here is so helpful! Can someone please respond and let me know if the "new" sfirmware update allows for "pushmail" like the BB. I love my Q and am being forced to relinquish it for my work because I need a "push " system to get my emails instantly. PLease give me some help here: I really want to keep my Q....and need to know if the new firmward will allow "push" mail.

When changing an appointment on the calendar, how can you pull up a calendar so that you see what day/date the appointment should be? For example if i want to change a meeting from today (January 26th) to one week from today. How can you tell the new date of the meeting? I've tried to pull up a calendar, but i can only type in a numerical value for the date.

I've been browsing through the forum, and I see that it's said that the Moto Q can sync with Macs (in theory), but I haven't seen any postings from people who do it regularly.

I'm curious if there are any Mac users that have any pros and/or cons to share about this phone. Is it very compatible/easy to work with, or is it not worth the hassle?

I'm looking into getting a smart phone, was debating between a Treo and the Moto Q (for Sprint), so any suggestions are welcome.

I've just got the Q for Sprint and downloaded Opera for web browsing. My question is can it be possible to run flash website on my Q? ex. youtube, etc.

I had heard that the Q for Sprint has a major flaw. The keypad does not light up. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I'm on my second Q, and while in general the second go-around has been better, it's still far from smooth. One problem I've had with both, however, is the key lock function. This is important to me because I wear my Q in a holster which is somewhat snug. In any case, on both my first and current Qs, the "home" key (which of course can be held down to access the quick list) works only intermittently. I would say that I have to re-boot the phone at least a half-dozen times a day. Anyone else have this problem?

Where can I get free ring tones. Or... how to greate my own with MP3.

When using operamobile on the Moto Q, are there any kind of charges added to your monthy plan on verizon, or does it cost like airtime, or is it 100% free?

Depending on the site, I have trouble highlighting the box or link that I want to click on. It skips over the particular link. For instance, on Yahoo mail, it skips over a box that is blue and does not allow me to download an attachment. Any suggestions.

Does anyone know if there is a hardware or operating system limitation regarding the size of SD card one can use in the Q? I realize cost and SD limits may make larger SD cards impractical, however within 2 years it's likely we'll see 16Gig SD cards for under 400 bucks and 32 gig SD cards for uner 1K. When that happens, I truly wont need my MP3 Player, PROVIDED the Phone and/or the Windows Mobile platform will work with this large a memory card.

Any ideas?
