Nokia 6103 / 6102i

😢 I've noticed after I'm in a menu function and I close the phone, when I reopen it, the screen doesn't default to the main screen. Also with text msgs, when I go back to write a new msg, my last msg is still up. Is there a way to fix this?

How do i get IR to work on this phone. I had 2 phones with IR right next to each other and still no connection. Does the ir port come with a cover on it or is it supposed to be black?

This might be a naive question from a novice but I have to know.

The phones in the U.S. are advertized as having band 850 while the nokia website and phonescoop says it has 850 and this is swapped for 900 outside U.S. Does this mean the phone has both 850 and 900? I bought this from TMobile and was wondering if the phone would work in say India - a primarily 900 zone. Can someone please educate me on what it means?

I just got this phone, and I've been trying to figure out how to make the phone vibrate, and ring at the sametime..

I have the vibrate option on, and it still doesn't vibrate..

Can anyone help me out?

I haven't had this phone for long, forgive me if there's an obvious answer I'm missing. When I receive a picture message from someone else, the photo is resized to 128 x 96 pixels, no matter what size was sent. Is there no way to retain the original size? When i move images to my computer, of course at that size they are ridiculously tiny on screen.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Has anyone tried the 6102i with iSync?

Apple says series 60 phones with bluetooth should work, but the 6102i is not listed on the compatible devices page. Also not sure if this is a series 60 phone.

Anyone know about this?

I am an RSR for T-Mo. We have been selling the 6103 for a while now. We have also had our store deo for a while as well. I was looking at our incoming inventory sheet and noticed we are getting another 6103 demo. Except this one says "With Faves" What is Faves? Anybody know?

How well does the Nokia software synch to MS Outlook? I am looking for a new phone and one of the major requirements for me is to get one that I can synch my calendar and contacts to Outlook. How does this compare to the Sony/Ericson 520 and Moto V3i software?

I know how to use my phone as a EDGE modem, but I'm not willing to play for a data plan and it costs too much to use w/o a plan.

But, I have 6,000+ rollover minutes and there are free dial-up ISPs out there that I could use. This would be perfect to use to check e-mail with my PDA or use WAP services, like Yahoo! mobile.

I have my phone paired with my PDA via BT and I setup a DUN connection that dials the ISP, it gives me either a rapid busy signal or the tones from the "cannot connect" error message w/o the words. This is the same method I used to setup my EDGE connection, but I use #99,.... whatever to connect. Any ideas?

I've had the 6102 for several months and the thing that really irritates me is the lag-time of the operating system (transitions in menu functions, contacts, etc.)

Is the 6201i any quicker?

How well does the auto answer feature work when connected to a bluetooth headset? My brother's phone won't auto answer with bluetooth and I am wondering if this one works that way.

I was going throught the forums and found that someone had said you can record your own ringtones and since i work for t-mobile, i was wondering if it IS in fact, possible. I just recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung E335 to the noKia 6103. My mom has the 6101 and she LOVES it. If anyone know, that would be awesome! 😁

Does anyone have any experiences with online purchases from Cingular?

I spoke with a representative in a Cingular store. She told me if I purchase online and I have a problem with the phone I will need to send it back. If I purchase in the store I can just stop by there and they will take care of it. So I am more inclined to buy from the store.

However I've never had any problem with any Nokia phone so maybe it makes more sense to save a bit and get it online.

Any one have any stories, good or bad to share?

I don't know if anyone knows this but when you have the bluetooth connected to the phone, your ringtones ring through the headset and the phone. A feature not available on any other phone. Our Nokia rep told us about it a few weeks ago so i'm sure that most people are aware by now.

Is the caller ID displayed on the external LCD as well?

Does anyone know when the 6125 or the 6126/6131/6131 will be coming out and with what companies?

Should I wait for one of those phones, or just get the 6103/6102i on T-Mobile?

Does anyone know if the 6102i is going to be getting more items available to downlowad from cingular MEdia mall? I looked on the site and noticed that there are not nearly as many games available as the 6102, and while it says that the phone is capable of downloading cooltools, there are none available.

Does anyone know if Cingular is going to carry the Nokia 6102i?
If so, is there a release date? Can't find anything on the web....
