Samsung SGH-D807 / D806

Hi, I'm going to buy this phone, but what is important to me is battery life. I know that it's not a good side of this phone, but I need to know how bad it is 🙂 . Could some of people who uses this phone share some details. What i need to know is how often you have to charge it and how you use it. For example: "I talk 1 hour a day(month), send 20 txt msgs a day(month) and I charge it every 3 days." Thank you for answers.

anyway to play mp3s through a bluetooth headset? cuz if not then that's really lame and i'm just gonna wait on the Nokia 6126 set to release in the upcoming weeks

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to display the clock on the screen when the phone is not in use so it doesnt look like it is turned off. And how can I get a text message alert or vm alert on the screen to let me know I got a message instead of having to go into the phone and check all the time?

Any help on this would be great.

Hey everyone I dont know if someone has asked this before but does anyone know why I cant set my recorded audio as a ringtone?? It gives me the option to save it, but when I put yes it tells me not allowed 😲 Whats the deal why does it give me the option if it doesnt work???

Could someone please tell me how to make my text messages save to the PHONE instead of the SIM CARD? I read the manual that came with the phone backwards and forwards and I can't fix it! My text messages are automatically saving to the SIM (which can only hold 30 messages) instead of the phone (which can hold 1000) and nothing I've done so far is fixing this issue... If I can't get this resolved this D807 is going back to cingular 👿

If you are a new customer, just go to the cingular store and ask if you can get the phone for free. That's what I did, and they said okay $50 and just mail in the $50 rebate. Just thought I'd mention that since I, like many others, don't like spending a lot of money on a phone, especially when it's the only one in the store that doesn't look and or feel like a cheap piece of plastic or looks bizarre.

I used to have a rzr phone and read about hacks that can be done to that gain table to increase the volume. Any thoughts? Also see a samsung software on samsungs website. Is a data cable available for this phone?

I downloaded a .jar to my phone (not entirely understanding how things work) and it is not showing up in any menu for deletion.

Memory Status says I have 4 "games" on my phone totaling 608KB but in my Games folder I see:

Google Maps [98KB]
Tetris [77KB]
Midnight Pool [134KB]

so, can anybody tell me how to delete this "ghost" file? thanks!

I know the D807 will not support iTunes, as I had a ROKR before and now almost all my music files are .m4a's. However, what can I use to convert them back into .mp3, .mp4, .aac, .wma, anything that can be read through Musicmatch Jukebox "and" the D807. Any help greatly appreciated.

when using downloaded pictures as my wallpaper, is there a way to change the size of it so that the image takes up the entire screen? there's a white gap that i cannot seem to get rid of, on the top and bottom of the screen and it's quite annoying 😕

andddd, is there any way to make the photo id of the person that i'm speaking to pop up when i'm calling them, instead of the swirly image that appears when making a call?

So I have signed up for MEdia Works on my plan through Cingular. It entitles me to 5mb of wireless internet and 1000 messages. Neither of the features work on my phone. When trying to access the internet it says: Service Not Available. Also my text messages claim to be sent but nobody ever recieves them. Can anyone help? I double checked on Cingular.com and it does have MEdia Works on my bill...so I should be getting it-I signed up for it yesterday (June 24). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I am seriously considering purchasing this phone but I wanted to make sure that there is no arbitrary limit on MP3s like on the SLVR. Any info is good.
Also I haven't been able to find too much info on the sound quality through Samsung headphones (which unfortunately are not included with the phone and are a little hard to find) Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

If I have the .jar and .jad files on my computer for games, how do I go about getting those on my phone via Bluetooth or Internet and get them to work? I am having no luck. Thanks in advance!

ok so i just got this phone and let me just say...i'm amazed so far. i've already put a few MP3's on the phone's memory and can use them as ring tones (sweeeeeeeeeet!) except one of my songs is too big. i've read that they have to be under 600kb. this one is 614kb, but i don't know how to delete it off the phone. any help?

I've been to the Samsung website to find out what file types are necessary to view media that is stored and advertised to play. What was not clear in the description was the video file format. The Samsung site states all of the following:
