Samsung SGH-D807 / D806

Hi everyone. I'm very interested in this phone for myself and also for my wife. She will probably just carry her's in her purse, so she's good. I, however, prefer to use a plastic holster on my side that my phone snaps in to. I just find that it's much easier for me to get to the phone when I'm sitting at my desk or even while driving. Does anyone know if there is a holster for this phone? Thanks.

I've seen some cases and holsters out there, but was wondering if anyone has one that they like and are using. Since this is a unique style of phone, I'm a little worried about picking a case without a recommendation. I'm looking for cases and holsters and not pouches.

If i got the BT USB adapter, will i still need the software stuff?

I just wanted to know, if I unlock the phone will it get rid of cingulars setting? For example, the limitations they put on the volume?

Let me know if that works.

Or if anybody has figured out a way of doing that:raising the stereo headset volume.

I work for Cingular, and I was thinking of actually using this phone.. the display is aight.(though it uses more colors, i think the cu500 has a better look)....
my questions are:

-how can i make the stupid Cingular logo go away, have tried everything, and nothing....
I like a plain display nothing blocking my pictures....

-sound quality .... the sound quality is good, when im in a call, but how can i make it louder? i own a jeep wrangler, and the cu500 was nice and loud, and i want to make the 807 same loudness .... do they make an volume amplifer or anything??

any help would be great...

Where do i download mini opera from??

I just downloaded mini opera, and it works great! But when I exit I can't find it again. How do I get back to it so I can browse the internet? I can't find an icon anywhere, or in "my stuff" or "my tools"

I just bought the phone, I like everything about it except for one thing. I loaded a couple of pictures of me and some friends. our face are red. Every picture that has skin color becomes red or dark brown. note that all cartoon or graphics looks fine. Is it just my unit? should I get another one? or its it my pictures quality? I tried playing with the LCD brightness no luck there.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Can someone please tell me whether the headphone and mic jacks are the same on the D807 as they are on the D500/D508/D600/D608? I would like to use a headphone/mic adpater from one of these other Samsungs if they are compatible. Thanks very much.........

Has anybody bought the stero headset from samsung? The volume is rather low when I listen to an MP3 on this headset.

If I were to buy the 2.5 adapter and attach a different set of headphones on it, will the volume be louder?

hi out there i use nokia pc suite to convert avis to 3gp and samsung pc studio suite to transfer to phone i get an error saying invalid format 3gp was wondering if other converts would be better i had a razr and had videos on pc from that phone tranfered to d807 played fine im assuming this phone supports 3gp
my goal is to watch music videos or movies rom pc most of these r mpegs or avis sorry if im rambling is someone could help it would be greatly appreciated thanks 🙂

Hi, I just bought a 1gb micro sd card for my Samsung SGH-D807 cell phone. I was wondering what I need to do to get my music mp3s to play on my phone. I make sure sure that my mp3s are at 190kb or less, and that the name is below 18 characters. I put my mp3 files in the music folder that is on my sd card. Then I stick the sd card in my phone, and it recognizes them as mp3s. But when I play them, they only play for a few seconds then stop. Sometimes they play parts of other songs that I had put on the card in the middle of the music track. I've looked all over the internet, and I can't find any definite answers to this problem. Please help! 😢

I need help with Clock display. Does anyone know how to move it around or make it smaller ?

It says in the description that it comes with an SD adapter allowing file transfers between computer and my phone, does that mean i dont have to buy a USB thing, such as bluetooth to transfer files? Also, if i do buy the bluetooth usb so i can transfer files, where do i plug the usb into my phone? I only see a memory card slot, and the recharger/headphone slot.

My daughter just bought this phone and we are trying to put some songs on the memory card. Two questions I have. 1. Why is some of the songs I put on the card show up with a green box next to the song which gives me an error when I try to play it. 2. Why is it when I rip a cd to put on the memory card it won't work but when she had the w600 (which just got stolen) worked just fine on that phone. Thanks for all the help.. Rox

I've had the phone for a while now and I love it. I can view it in a recieved text by going to "properties" BUT I cannot for the life of me figure out how to view the date/time I SENT a text. Can someone help?

Also, How can I view the details as I am reading the text?

Can I just buy the data cable, or Do I need the CD as well for it to be recognized?

im wondering if anyone has figured out how to change the word it gives you on the T9 text input. for example, you type in 4,6 and you get "in", but what if you want it to say "go"?
