Sony Ericsson W810

Like many of you out there I have waited for Cingular to release the w810i. My intention was to take cingular up on the 30 day trial period and decide if I wanted thier version of this phone or the unlocked. Hoping this will start a thread of those of you with knowledge of both can reply.

Aloha, Does anyone know if the HBH-DS790 (Stereo bluetooth headphones made by Sony Ericsson) actually work with the W810i, or not. Does anyone actually own, and use them? I want to get them, but they are not listed as compatible on the sony site. If they don't work, does any body know of Bluetooth headphones I can get that do work with the w810. Thanks for your help.

I transfered one mp3 to my phone to test it out. It plays just fine but I can't use it as a ringtone. Wouldn't work if it was on the card or the phone.

Another question, I use a Mac and there are two directories that appear when I connect the phone with the USB cable. One is labeled Phone and the other is Phone Card. For some reason I can't eject the Phone Card directory. Does anyone else with a Mac have this problem?

I have a Motorola HS810 Bluetooth headset and my w810 can't seem to connect with it. You would think that two 810s would find each other, right?

The headset still works with my V710 handset so can anyone help me troubleshoot? The only things I can connect to are my iMac G5 and my neighbor's Blackberry.

Hello everyone, I just picked this phone up today and so far have one question. How do you create a playlist of the music that you have on the Memory Stick?

I read the manual, and it says that playlists organize files that are in My Stuff (from the main menu). My question is how do I get my music that is on the Memory Stick into My Stuff so that I can copy them to my Playlist?

Please help!

I heard from my contact rep that this phone will be released tomorrow 🙂 😁 Lets hope its true & the stores will have some. $199 before $50 mail in rebate. Comes with headset, wall charger & data cord with 2 yr. deal. Prayer anyone?

We just got our dummy w810 in today and I almost had a heart attack. I don't know what I'm going to do when the real thing arrives.

The fact is we've all been waiting for this to drop...the good news is it looks like its going to be very very soon...

Does any one know if SanDisk 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo (SDMSPD-1024-A10) is compatible with this phone?

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and have been reading a few of the threads. My contract is over with Verizon and am now paying month-to-month. I was thinking of purchasing the Chocolate, but am really interested in the W810 by Sony Ericsson! I have to have this phone!

The only problem is at the time the only way to get it is to purchase unlocked from an online website or ebay (Wirless_Express). That's all well and good but, if I can wait till Cingular releases it with a contract it will be less expensive, correct?

So how long will I have to wait (if I can wait) for that to happen? 🤤

When I hold the power button in, the screen fully lights up all white then goes off... I can't get it to fully power on.. tried different batteries, tried my battery in another phone powers fine. Any ideas than the dreaded warranty process?

Okay Okay ! Im sure everyone is sick of hearing this but i cant seem to get around it. I just got a rogers w810i for a gift. After endless attempts I cannot figure out how to make my mp3s a ringtune. I tried many spots on the net and was tld to come here for help. If anyone knows how to debrand my phone or convert files give me a shout..At this rate i miss me w600i.Thanks a Million

Im going to post this in the cingular forum as well...but since there are a lot of helpful people that check out this phone's forum, thought you all might be able to advise...

So I ordered my first unlocked/unbranded phone just now, and since im switching from VZW to Cingular, whats the best way to get a SIM card?

A friend of mine recommended signing up for a cheap freebie phone at cingular, then just switching the SIM card out. This way Im not paying for the SIM card, plus I have a free phone (most likely to give away).

Any thoughts on this? Pluses? Minuses? Any other ideas/thoughts?

I'm waiting for this phone to be released on Cingular like everyone else. Any more word on release date or reason for delay? I went to a Cingular store about 2 weeks ago, and was informed that they had a mock version of the RAZR v3i (1 MP camera, itunes, et al), but the phones were not in stock yet. With all the competitors releasing new phones (i.e., Chocolate, Q, etc...), what is going on with Cingular's release plans?
