Sony Ericsson W810

I've been using the s710a with Cingular for some time now and have noticed the bars like to jump up and down like crazy (and drop calls when you have full bars). My wife has one, too... so, I am pretty sure it's the phone model... not just the phones we own. After reading the reviews about how great this phone is, it worries me to see the same about the w810. I am currently in a low coverage area and am curious if any else had these problems with the w810 (or the s710a). Everything about the w810 seems great, I am just worried about bad call quality and I would rather spend $75 on it vs. paying $150 for the V3r. Any insight?

I am going to be buying a mobile phone for my boyfriend in the next 2 weeks i was wondering what would be best the K750i or the W810i. Anyone had any bad experiences with either of these phones ? Is there much of a difference between the two apart from the K750i not having walkman. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. 🙂

I've been using the new GMail app and love it, but I'm wondering if there is an easy way to get to the application on the phone? Can you 'drop' it on the main menu?

I can't decide if the W810i is better than the W300i....anyone have any input????

i have just bought the w810 from cingular. and after reading through this site, i have realized that it isn't just a phone camera mp3 player. DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF A SITE WHERE I CAN LEARN HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF MY CELL? LIKE PUTTING MOVIES ON IT, LIKE USING MP3'S AD RING TONES. AND WHAT EVER ELSE IT CAN DO.

when a video is sent to me via bluetooth i cant view it. it shows up in the card, but cant watch it. Had the same vid sent via mms and i got it fine. the same thing happens when i move a video from my pc. what gives! SE product support told me that it supports mp4 and 3gp (which the video was).

Does anyone know if this bad boy is Mac friendly in terms of the music player component? If not out the box are there any hacks available yet? I really like this phone but would hate to have to moves all my mp3s over to my pc.

I was in the local BestBuy store and the rep showed my in the computer, in stores November 5.

i can't choose between the 6233 and the w810i. are there any comparison reviews around the net? or what do u guys think?

When i copy or move pictures from my pc to the phone memory, i cant see the pics in the phone! they are small jpeg files (smaller than 2megs) and i'm looking in the "my stuff" folder. but when i plug the camera back in the computer it shows that it's in the phone's memory.

I did the same thing with my music and it transfered fine.

Also when i unplug the usb cable from the pc the screen turns white and blinks two or three times than goes to the home screen. Is this normal?

what's w810i screen's exact size in inch 😕

i used to have the w600,and the t637 before that, and both phones had a feature that you could set so that the screen saver was the time. does anyone know if the w810i has this feature? i have looked and cant find the setting.

also does anyone know if they make an adapter like they did for t637. it plugged into the bottom of the cell, and it let you use your own eab bud and head phones. what they have is that long cord that gets tangled up.

Does any one have any cool tips on for this cell?

so i just ordered my w810, will get it next week. i'm trying out the w600 from cingular (switching over from verizon), and i'm not too impressed with the call quality. speakerphone sounds very mettalic, even in high reception areas.

i'm hoping the w810 is better...?

I am considering buying an unlocked model to use with my T-Mobile service. Is anyone currently using this phone with T-Mobile? Any pros/cons you'd like to share? Thanks in advance!

Help - Frustration has set in - everytime I try to transfer music, either from a CD - audio or from a music directory on my PC using disk 2 phone I see a writing error. The transfer ends up completing, however the size of the file transfered is smaller than the music trac and definatly missing sections of the trac. I have tried storing the music on the phone and external memory using the USB cable supplied. My external memory was upgraded to a sony duo stick 4gig high speed.

I have considered picking up a card reader but concerned that will not resolve the issue - anyone else have the same problem ???

Hello... I got my w810 a couple of weeks ago and I just tested out the Bluetooth Remote Control. I like it, however I cannot completely control iTunes 7 which is a near must. I have found only one other .hid on the web, called SuperMediaPlayer. It does not help me in any way either except being able to bring up iTunes visualizer. Does anyone know where I can find .hid files to support iTunes with Sony Ericsson W810 Bluetooth Remote? Thanks! Your help is appreciated.

I have a PDF file(3MB) I would like to have handy stored in my Phone, but I am not sure if this is possible. This is a great device that can handle tons of mp3s and videos. I would imagine I can store a documents to view. Would make this my perfect phone. If any of you have any idea how to do this that would be awesome. Initially I was thinking as a text message format but don't know. This would be greatly appreciated if you can help. Lates

I have a w810 that i bought from cingular, andi put the disc2phone software onto my computer. Then i was reading through the owners manual and it said that on the CD-ROM it carried the adobe photoshop software that you can transfer/edit pictures from your phone on. I was wondering if anybody has been able to get the photo shop program off of the CD-ROM, or has any other way to transfer the pictures off of the phone onto a computer?

sorry if these are dumb questions. but i am just trying to understand some things about my new phone. i used to have the w600, and i could use mp3's as ring tones. i have read differnt information on this site in how to do this for the w810i. one way was to cut down the size of the mp3. so does this mean that the cut down mp3 will be saved with the other mp3 that are saved on my phone, and will be played when i listen to my mp3 player? it is bad enough that i have to listen to the clips that came on the phone.
what is the dal on being able to watch movies on it? i had no idea. how do i do this?
