Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133

Just wondering if anyone has heard when the 6126 will be released for Cingular? I've read that it is in testing, but from past experience that could mean it is coming in anywhere from a week or two to half a year. My razr is slowly dying and I think I would rather have this phone than the v3i. Appreciate any info anyone has.

is the battery as bad as everyone says on this phone. i have the razr last for 3-4 days with moderate usage. how long does this battery last? every detail will be greatly apprectiated along with do you think this phone is worth buying or should i go with the sammy d807? thanks for all replies.

So i have been having issuse with the Nokia 6131 on cingulars network.....voicemail icon not appearing and not being able to recieve vidoe MMS because of "MMS adaptation" but I used my friends girlfriends t-mobile sim card and everything works fine. What the hell? At first I thought it was my phone but is Cingular just being stupid????? Any ideas?

I can only send MMS and not receive MMS. I went to "Messaging"-"Message Settings"-"MMS"-selected YES to "Allow Multimedia Recept"-selected RETRIEVE on "Incoming MMS"

I can only receive an MMS if I send it to myself via my 6131 and only if the photo was taken with my 6131. Everyone else who sends me an MMS, I get "Unable to receive MMS".

I have CINGULAR service. Someone please help!

I thought I had fully tested this phone out, but forgot to check the Video MMS fuction. Now it looks like its not working. Cingular is not allowing the Video MMS to be sent to the 6131. I can send a Video MMS out to anyone, but I can't even see my own Video MMS when I send it to my phone. I had a simular issue with a Samsung D600. On that phone the Video MMS also would not work and even the Picture MMS was being resized to unviewable limits. Its nothing to do with the phone. Cingulars sever is not allowing it. I had hoped that since the 6126 was going to be released that the 6131 would be 100% fuctional. Maybe it will when the 6126 comes out. But let me know if anyone can send themself a Video MMS on Cingular and view it on the 6131. Thanks....

I currently have a razr with cingular service and like many others, I am not happy. One of the biggest probems im having is dust collection in both the external and internal screen. Anyone who owns this nokia having this problem when placed in pockets?

This phone looks promising but I've found that not all phones automatically update the time. (I've had a Samson and a SE that both required manual time setting.) That is so annoying and I won't get this one if it has similar issue with the time. Thanks.

I can send MMS but not receive. I followed instructions on previous "thread" but no success. I have the E surrounded by square icon with an envelope/paper clip icon spinning for about 5 minutes now and nothing is happening. Someone please help. I have CINGULAR service.

Love this phone ( 6131). But does anyone else that has it have any issues with the voicemail notification? I don't get the little icon on my screen when I get one.

I have cingular and I have been able to set the MMS settings and internet. The only problem is I can't recieve a video message. I can recieve pictures though. Any thoughts? Software issue? Oh I am using the 6131. The person sending me the video messages using t-mobles network (phone model w300i)

I heard rumors that this phone will be rolled out for Cingular sometine in June. Is that true? Does anyone know the exact date ranges this might come out?

Does anyone know if the font color on the mini display can be changed for the carrier logo and the clock. Once it times out it is so hard to read.

I really really want this phone....but does anyone know when the sand, red, and white colors are going to be released??? I really want the sand one, its shown on the nokia uk website but I can't find anything about a release date......please help

If your headset speaker distorts at full volume, return the phone. Thats what I did and the exchange I got works perfectly. Is it just me, or does anyone else get annoyed that the lights dim and the phone goes black after 60 seconds? Is there a way to turn that off?

One other question for any owners of the 6131: does it use the standard Nokia charger plug? If I have a car charger and AC adapter from a different Nokia phone, will it work with the 6131 or is the charger port different?

I was preparing to leave Cingular in search of CDMA and thin, RAZR-like handsets with a QVGA display but this one may keep me from leaving.

Besides the big true color display, I like the actual buttons and simple layout of them.

Maybe Q2 availability translates to July-August?

Anyone know what a "flash message" is? It is an option on this phone in addtion to the standard SMS and MMS? And anyone use the video ringtones yet? Know where to get them or how to create them on a computer?

just got this phone today and it's friggin awsome. the screen is so crisp and clear. the flip thing needs some getting use to tho. but overall the phone feels very solid. Very comfortable to hold...fits in my hand just right and the housing doesn't really feel like rubber but it's not as slippery as other phones. overall i'm very happy with this phone. reception is same as my previous phone (nokia 8390) which is very good in most areas. sound quality is good and clear.
