Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133

I cant figure out how 2 find out where my phone was made. I lokked on the box in the manual even under the battery. Cant figure it out. Any help???

My question is for anyone that currently has the Nokia 6131 unlocked. Can you set your mp3's that you store yourself on your memory card or phone as ringtones? Also does the phone have a sound recorder? Any info would be great. Thank you

If you go to the Best Buy web site, and click on weekly adds, they have a cell phone add available to look at. This phone is listed for Cingular in that add, through Best Buy.

I was talking to the guy in the Nokia store in LA who said Cingular is having several problems with this phone, one of the main ones being screen protection. I can't remember the other ones he mentioned, but because of this he said the release date has been pushed back to the end of Sept.

I hope he's wrong, but he seemed to know what he was talking about as he said it was originally scheduled for early July but has been changed several times and now it's late Sept ☹️

Anyone connected/working for Nokia/Cingular have any inside news on this phone?

according to phonescoop.com the 6126 will be released in 1-2 weeks.

I'm just curious, it sounds as if a few people that frequent this forum have the Nokia 6131. For those that do, have you experienced any issues w/ the screen & scratching that seem to plague the 6126? i'm just currious, b/c from the online specs they are essentially identical, but maybe the build materials of the 6126 are less than that of the 6131?? hence the model # difference?

my dad needed a new phone because his samsung a670 was trashed. we went to cingular because he wanted the nokia 6126. the rep at the store said the phone wouldn't be avaliable for a few weeks and we should wait until it comes out because it will be the best phone out for cingular. well we needed a phone that day so my dad got the 6102i. my dad really likes the 6126 but i was wondering if it is a good phone. if not he'll just stick with the 6102i.

Don't get this phone without a memory card. I got 1 gig and it's awesome!

Ater having talked to cingular customer support, cingular-nokia sales, nokia customer support, nokia phone sales, chicago's nokia flagship store, cingular corp stores, independant cingular stores, checking the astrology and horoscope, tarot cards, checking out the ouji board, I have come to the conclusion that the nokia 6126 will be released from 5 minutes after this post to sometime in 2007.... maybe. whew, I feel better now. Sorry for the ranting and the sarcasm.

The phone has been released via SunCom which leads me to believe Cingular can't be far behind...last I heard from an asst manager was Aug 8-20....and HowardForums isnt any more reliable than anything you hear from anybody else...it is a public forum...

I have been very excited about the anticipated arrival of the 6126, but my 30 day exchange period is nearly over and I may be forced to settle for a different phone if they don't release the 6126 this week.

One of the features I really want in a phone is an available mobile holder so I can charge it in the car and see the display when I am driving. I was told by a Nokia support person that the 6126 would fit in the CR-34 car cradle (same cradle supported by the 6102i) if you believe them.

If that is the case, then I may get the 6102i until I can upgrade to the 6126 later and hopefully reuse the same cradle.

The other phone I was looking at was the 6682. Does anyone have any useful information/opinions on either of those two phon...

Maybe those "in the know" can clear this up for me...

Stopped into my local Cingular store to inquire once again about this phone; same crap about ETA until I pushed and it seems mid-July (next week or the following) will be the drop.
However, what I was told next really pissed me off because I have been waiting for soooooooo long for this phone for one main reason: it is supposed to be a quad band phone.

The Cingular store reps told me that they have it listed as a tri band phone and that it is quite possible that the version made for Cingular will be downgraded from the original quad band version to a tri-band version. If that turns out to be the truth 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 .....

Once again, for those who already have the 6131 and those who have gotten to have extensive playing time with the 6126...

Does the cam have any kind of a flash? I dont see anything in the pics, but I read something about an led indicator or status light, so thought that may double as a flash as it does on some phones.

Also do you have the ability to disable the shutter sound?
