Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133

Well, it's still "tentative" for Cingular on this web site which tells me that it "may" still come out for Cingular, at least until they change it's status here... 😕

There is a rumor on Howardforums.com that the 6133 will be coming to T-mo in a couple of months. I saw pictures of the siver one and it is a beauty. I really hope this ends up better than the 6126 on Cingular. 🤣

Does anybody have a 6131 in another color thats not black???? I want a red one. I got a black one.. Im kinda mad i just got the phone not to long ago and the soft paint is peeling!!! Is any body else havin this problem???

Anyone have any newws regarding the 6131 unlocked on Cingular's service?
I know there had been some issues with MMS picture and video RECEIVING on that phone with Cingular.

I'm really tired of waiting on Cingular to get their stuff together and ready to buy an unlocked 6131, but I want to make sure I can use all the features...especially pictures on that amazing screen.

Per my very reputable source, Cingular has unfortunately now pushed back the release of this phone indefinitely --at least sometime into the 4th quarter, perhaps even toward the end of the year.

Sucks.

I am looking to buy a new phone, and one of the major requirements is that it be able to synch the calendar and contacts with MS Outlook. Does anyone know how the Nokia software compares to the Sony/Ericson z520 or the Motorola software? Thanks

Is there anyone out there that has the 6131 that has successfully installed new games and themes on their device?

I am really thinking about buying this phone, but I need to know if this can be done.

Also, I want to install Google Maps on the phone. (http://google.com/gmm/devices.html) This page says that the 6131 is supported, but I always like to hear it first hand.

Any body who has this please tell me if u have any music videos on ya phone.. I do but the video plays slow but the audio is normal.. Im pretty sure that the size is to big cuz i used to use the same videos for my samsung T-809. Any body got any ideas ???

From reading it seems to me that there is both an Asian and European version of the 6131. Is this true? If so are there advantages or disadvantages to either one?

So how could it have been canceled? I bought the 6131 off of Ebay!

Just got word from a cingular store asst mgr. and it has been confirmed that the phone is cancelled for sure, and it probably won't be reinstated.

How would I go about finding out who my local Nokia rep would be? Wondering if I could bypass all the uninformed and just get some straight answers about this phone from "the horse's mouth".

I just received my 6131 a couple of days ago and I can't seem to figure out how to get miniopera to get access to the network any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

My local Cingular store had 5 on order with an arrival date of Aug 17th. Cingular (out of Atlanta) canceled the order with a note that said it had been canceled from the line-up!

Does anyone know if the PTT works with cingular( Unlocked Nokia's usually do) Just wondering if any one is using it with out any problems? Thanks

I've noticed alot of rumors flying around this forum and on howards-forum. I just wanted to say to everyone to try to remember thats what they are until confirmed by either cingular or nokia. I know the moderator of how-for has said that the phone has been cancelled. Another poster stated a bestbuy store in new york had them in stock ready to be released on this tuesday (aug 22). when i called to ask about it the store associate said he didn't know anything about the phone and i should look into bestbuy's web site to see if it was available. Who knows why this phone isn't being released? Hopefully the moderator in how-for for cingular phones is wrong and it will still be released and sooner than later.

The girl said it is free on a 2 year and 79.99 on a one year. Hope she's not confusing it with something else. I'll let ya'll know what I find out!!

Just spoke to a rep, the phone will not have a release date, it will just show up in stores.

Okay, i went to a Cingular/Tmobile Agent today, and he happened to have the Nokia 6131 as well as the V3i there. They were both unlocked of course. Anyways, i took out the Nokia out of the box, and was fiddling with it. The push to open button is a joke. It is not worth it, and is sometimes doesn't work. Also, this phone feels like a toy phone in your hand, I couldnt believe this was the actual phone and not a dummy phone. It felt like it was going to break. I am not going to buy this phone because it feels so shoddy. If anyone is thinking about this phone, I suggest you actually hold one in your hand and see what you think of it. I personally thought it was weak and fragile. The razr on the other hand has solid build quality.
