can't edit ringtones in bitpim
i just downloaded bitpim and can't get to edit the ringtones it just inserts them without a pop up to cut it down and edit what am i doing wrong??????????///?????? thanks

I used audacity but the ringtones don't sound cear so I wanted to try something different. Any idea why they sond distorted they sound nothing like the mp3 I have on my phone you can barely understand the words. Still would like to know how to edit in bitpim. Thanks

I wasnt aware that BitPim was available for the 8300. BUT, I was able to go into old ringtones from my 8100 stored in Bitpim and attach them an send as a email to my daughters 8300.

I use BitPim with my 8300. I don't edit the MP3s down, I use audacity for that. But I use it to transfer the tones to the phone.
One thing I found is to leave the settings that BitPim automatically brings up when converting the ringtones (bit depth, mono, etc...) I tried using better quality settings, and it made the tones sound worse - tinny and lots of ringing distortion.
