Mp3's

I'm just wondering if Mp3's have a good sound quality when being played through the stereo speakers? And also are they loud?

SCH-A990 Antenna port?

Does the SCH-A990 have a port to plug in an external antenna? I am frequently in rural areas with very poor signal coverage.

this thing is butt ugly IMO, who needs 3 meg camera on there cell phone anyways. regardless of that why leave the same lame UI on it? im waiting for the chocolate phone, new design, new UI.

Battery life seems to be low

I'm sure an extended battery will improve this.

Other than that .. Wicked phone .. I love it

A-990 or RAZR V3m?

Now that I've decided to part with my Motorola Q after using it for 10 days, I'm back in the market for a phone. Was about to swap out the Q for a RAZR V3m but then saw this little gem appear out of nowhere. Seems like it's packed with features, but I'm curious to know if (1) Verizon has put their crappy UI on this one like they have on the RAZR (2) what the difference in thickness is compared to the RAZR and (3) what the screen resolution is compared to the RAZR. Not a huge fan of the Verizon RAZRs but they seemed to be the best option until I saw this Samsung. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Switching from Cingular to Verizon..A990 first phone in plan!

😈 I can't wait..I'm cancelling Cingular and aquiring Verizon...the SCH-A990 will be my first Verizon phone, (girlfriend has the 8100.) I was considering the 8300, but there's too much about this phone I'd rather have!

Ordered it today...i'll post a review asap! 😈

a buddy of mine has this phone,it is truly cool.so naturally i want it.
was wondering though if i can get any kind of deal on this phone, i have been with verizon for a year on the 15th [got a vx-8100 it sucks].but i know they have that new every two program. can i upgrade yet??? would i get anything off at all or would i half to pay full price, if anyone can answer it would be great,

Change my Plan?

I'm up for my new every two 😁. So, I check the web site and they say I can get this phone as part of my new every two, but only if I change my calling plan. What calling plan are they going to require of me to get this phone?

I'm on an old area wide plan right now (39.99 600 min) and have no problems switching to a nationwide version. However I need to not get on a rate plan higher than 39.99. I just don't use that many minutes.

So, what gives?

A-990 is OUT!!!!!!

Hey in case no one knows the a990 is out on the VZW website it is $349 after $50 rebate. I called the store they said it won't be in for a while since they just got the a930. I want the lg chocalate but I ve heard no release date or price.

We all hope and pray that samsung wont blow it but cmon the 930 should have been an easy one to nail and they blew that big time.. D/A voice quality is the worst they have done in years. Hard to hear people, plastic feel etc...

I hope they did this one solid.. The 8300 is freaking amazing except for the huge blue tooth echo problem.. LG is showing some real hope.. If they nailed the Bluetooth the 8300 would have probably been the most perfect release of any phone i have seen..

The 990 and Chocolate have alot to live up to ..

Voice Quality Testing. Bluetooth Tetsing. Keypad usability and ruggedness. Does the earpiece get loud enough.. All these critical points that make a complex cell phone good or bad. Form Factor , Receptio...

SAMSUNG RULES~~ MOTOROLA SUCKS~

OH MY GOD!!! THIS PHONE IS HOT!!! dang i saw the GSM version of this phone and i loved it!!! i wonder how much is it with 2 yr contract with verizon... it's my brother's b-day pretty.... and he does need a good phone t-mobile does not work in my house at all... anyway if anybody know the price of this phone please~~~ reply to this thread and also when the Chocolate is coming out and the price of it... thank you for reading my thread!!! 😳

ill let you know whats up when it gets here .. I called CS and they said it would be shipped today .. Verizon is my personal phone .. I have a cingular thru work .. Im getting this for one reason and one reason only .. the camera .. I've been waiting for a good camera phone .. hopefully this is it .. ill post a mini review when i get it
