i know you have to convert the songs fropm mp5 to windows media.
and you can set up ringtones. but can you play music with it? like in place of a ipod, with playlists or anything like that?
i dont wanna buy an ipod and a phone, so mabye i can kill 2 birds with 1 stone

auto pic resize
Just got the a990. Great outdoor pics, BUT, why, when I take a pic at max resolution, does it resize it automatically? The pictures I get via email (the only way I know to get them off the phone) are never larger than 1600x1200.
Is there a different way to get pictures off the phone? A setting I'm missing?

So I just bought it today. I can't get Bitpim to access it via bluetooth but I can get my audio gateway to connect to it.
1. Can anyone please recommend any software that I can use to access the phone similar to Bitpim?
2. I heard someone mention that you can email ringers to the phone. So bring up my hotmail and email what email address?

MP3 on the phone.....
I heard this phone has no MP3 player on it and it only plays WMA. Is that true? Also can MP3's be onverted to WMA's and how do they sound on the phone? Also how big are the memory cards for this phone? Thanks for the help.

Okay...no luck
Okay I'm struggling with this phone.I've emailed mp3 and wma files to the phone and I am able to listen to them and move them from the phone to the card......but other than that I can't set as a ringer or alert.
Can someone please do up a step by step instructional on how to do up some custom ring tones and alerts on this phone?

ok my friend sent me 4 flix from her V710, i recievd them and they played !! now she went and got the lg VX8300 and i tried sending them back and it saying that it EXCEEDS FILE SIZE, whats up with that??? you mean we can recieve 15 seconds clips but cant send them???? thats crazy

Phone looks awesome. Couple of Q's.
(1) I heard that it takes a few seconds to take a picture. Does this prevent you from taking spontaneous pictures (i.e. pictures of people in motion; no holding a pose and waiting for it to take a picture).
(2) I'm on Sprint. Is it possible to unlock this phone so I can use it on my network?
