LG CU500

How do you connect the cu500 to the laptop to use that to access the internet?

i have a cu500 and if i have another phone that is non 3g is there anyway that i can get 2 sim cards for the same number. 1 regular sim and the other i already have a 3g sim card. Also do u think if they can give me a sim card it will cost money or be free. an answer to this is greatly appreciated. thanks

Hey I had some major issues even getting my memory card to work. I tried it with the USB and couldnt get anything, so I tried it with the adapter that came with it, still nothing. Then found the 277634#*# thing along with my USB cable and got it to come upsaying 'DO NOT Disconnect During Transfer' on my phone screen and I attempt to drag my iTunes MP3s to the Removable Drive (F🙂 but it says I need to format my card, then I try to format it and it doesnt work. Any idea how to format it if I try and the computer says it cant? Is it my computer or the fact that I bought my Micro SD 1g card from Target and not Cingular, do only certain cards work?

Has anyone had the following problems.

1) Logging into Yahoo Messenger resets phone
2) Phone calls get rejected even if the number not programed to be rejected
3)AOL, Yahoo, MSN messenger sign off by themselves when you switch from 3G to Edge or GPRS networks

I've returned my phone 3 times now, cingular hasnt been able to do a thing for me, but tell me exchange it. If anyone else has had these problems what have you done to fix it.

When I FIRST started in Cellular when AT&T was still singular. This was my FAV. phone. One of the first flop phones (that I know of) that supported youtube, stereo BT. and a swivel camera. I rolled with this and the Blackjack. when 3G FIRST hit the U.S

Hey yall, im new. WIll somebody be kind enough to load up the default message tones for the Lg CU500. i want to put them on my new phone, i actually lik them.

Does anyone know how to get the text messages off this phone? I have some info in some message that I need to save, so I wanted to make a backup of the whole message list to my computer before my phone dies and I loose everything (it went through the clothes washer, but I was lucky this time and it sort of still works). I can't find out how to transfer them via bluetooth. I don't have a data plan, so no internet access and I don't have a USB cable and they aren't stored on the SIM card.

Well SOMETIMES i have no problem putting in new songs, but there are days when i plug it in, it says its connected but when i go on My computer it says theres no drive E in it! this is hella stupid and then when i unplug it, the phone cant read the card. I tried that Engenering menu crap but it doesnt work all the time only sometimes. Does this happen to you?

I charge my phone overnight when I'm sleeping.
When I wake up my phone is turned off and just shows that it is fully charged.
This has been the second day it was like this and it never has done this before.
The phone turns right back on when I press the on button.
Is there a way to make it stop from turning off after it is fully charged?

There's software out there that Cingular has been essentially trying to keep under wraps...and there's no mention of it on the US LG site either. Wth? Anyways, enjoy everyone.

I am trying to connect my IPAQ 3715 to my phone to get on the net. I have paired the two and have sent a file from my IPAQ to my phone to test it. It worked, but I can't get my IPAQ to use my phone to get on the net. Is there a code from my phone that I have to give my IPAQ to be able to do this?

right well ive been reading around on the Internet and i understand the whole bitpim thing. and so my question is i had cut and old charger cord and put it together with a usb cord. has anyone else got a cord like this to work or should i just go buy a cord?? 👀

progressive ring only occurs when you have your phone opened up. closed, it rings at whatever you have it set at. sorry if this has already been posted.

Is there any way to remove the default sound for this phone. For example, the sound which is heard when a ring tone is changed.

I just noticed that when new music is added to the LG CU500, it places the newer files on top of the "All Songs" playlist and pushes the others down.

I tried deleting the older ones and then placing them back on the phone, but somehow, I guess the phone recognizes the older files and leaves them at the bottom of the list.

It's not a big problem seeing as how I can scroll to different playlists... but I figure someone out there may have a solution.

I wanna get thins phone but i was wondering if there was a way to make the phone vib only for txting and ring and vib for phone calls? also hows the reception for this phone?

anyone every get this thing replaced under warranty yet? my speaker sounds like its about to go but not yet... i work for att as an agent and was wondering if it works the same way as in you get the same phone twice and if you are still having problems they send you a new make/model, or would they sending out trax in place? just wondering.

Hi all, I've got an lg cu 500 which I tether with cingular (using bluetooth) for their data plan and everything works great with that... My question is as follows. In the next few days I am going to be buying the jabra bt 8010 which supports multiple pairings (it will let me connect my computer and my cell phone to the headset at the same time... very useful for gps etc) anyway, sorry for rambling. Is there a way to make the CU 500 connect to both my headset and laptop at the same time so I can use the data plan while still being connected to the headset? If anyone knows or possibly has done it please help...

Is it possible--and if so, how--to upload .mp3 and/or .wav files to use as ringtones?

Im going on friday to buy the LG cu500v. If I put my cingular sim in it, will it say cingular or at&t? Will they charge me for a new at&t 3g sim?
