LG VX-8500 Chocolate

I dont know if its a bitpim issue or the phone but i plug up my girlfriend's chocolate and it reads it fine, the thing is that when i pick a file to upload to the phone, whether it's a pix, music, or anything, bitpim gives me an error saying the provider blocked access or something like that, i cant remember the exact words (ill check it out as soon as i get home), but if any-1 has encountered this b4 plz help. Thx.

I am thinking about getting this phone but before i get it i was wondering if this phone is durable.....and does the slide part get ruined or break at all???

I have my chocolate paired with my laptop and recognized by bitpim...now when i try to send something to the phone it says that hte provider has it blocked..and i can't send...how do i get around this? I need help from the pro's...detailed idiot proof help lol thanks

My phone when closed clicks and slides from side to side slightly and when opening...is this normal? I have a friend who's is solid....should i exchange or is this just normal? ugh I hate only 15 days...thanks all for the help

dudes. i read it in the reviews - and found out.. that someone got the speaker phone to work (for calls) by pressing the music button after a call has been placed or received - my music button didn't work, but oddly, my camera button did make it work

i have the cherry chocolate and my fiance has the black chocolate. he's in love with the menus and backgrounds that i get on my cherry. when we go get our phones flashed, he wants the store to flash it with the VX-8500R (cherry) software to get the interface and displays i have.

we've been looking everywhere to find an answer. a sales rep (who seemed new) said it could fry the phone forever. i called tech support and asked them next. they said it should work fine, cause the phones are the same, just different color.

i side with tech support, but does anyone know if this isnt a good idea?

I tried searching the forum but couldn't find the location. I just got the cherry chocolate and need to buy the cable to hook it up to my laptop as well as get the drivers and the latest version of bitpim. Anyone have a link or store they recommend that has been proven? thank you, like i said I am sure it is listed but couldn't for the life of me find it.

I've recently had to replace my chocolate (due to it being stolen) and now when I take a pic, and put it as a wallpaper, it has white bars on the top and bottom of the screen (kinda like its "widescreen" only its white instead of black) and I cannot remember how to make it full screen. I've done it in the past - so its not impossible,lol. Anyone know? Thanks!!! 😁

i just ordered the strawberry and was wonder if it announces the name of the caller, like the 8300? does it have missed call alert?

can you down load different ringers besides get it now. does this phone have a call announce alert?

I just had a quick question of a favor to ask a kind owner of the Verizon Wireless Chocolate phone and who has and knows how to operate the BitPim file system. If that someone is you I need your help please! Yesterday I accidentally deleted my Display Themes and the Menu themes on my White Chocolate and I need someone to upload or like get a copy of it from there chocolate. Heres how: Open the BitPim program and select the Filesystem section, Click on the plus sign (+) button to open all the sections, Click on the plus sign (+) button of the section named 'flash', Click on the plus sign (+) button of the secton 'ui', Then select the folder named 'menu' and right click one file at a time and select save and save it somewhere on your hardrive ...

how do i transfer the videos to the phone? i already tried that "ultimate media guide to LG.." posts and that posts did not work... nothing on that posts works.... can anyone help me out.... i made some clips and i want to use that as the wallpaper.

Is there a way to sort music on my Chocolate other than A-Z or Z-A (without making playlists)? I'd like to hear my music in the order they are on the album. I've tried prepending the filenames with 01, 02, etc but it doesn't seem to help. any ideas?

I've had my Chocolate for almost two weeks now. It seems to have developed an annoying creaking sound along the bottom edge of the keypad surround (* 0 #). There's a seam going around the side here and I think it's not perfectly tight.

Anybody else have this problem? It's annoying when texting, not that I'm an avid txter anyway.

The local rep shrugged and said it was probably normal.

ok...my 8500 wont vibrate any more 😕 anyone else have this issue?? i went thru the settings n such n the differnt vibrate options arent there either...has anyone else had this issue? also how do you fix it?

How Do I transfer videos that i took on my phone onto my computer

i've been having trouble with these buttons lately and i'm finally fed up. i've had this fone since october and had no trouble. lately, however, the touchcontrols have sucked. sometimes i slide my fone open and its like i'm touching the send button and it will start calling the last person i talked to without me actually touching the button other times the lights on the touchcontrols are on but they are unresponsive. does anybody have any suggestions?

Fairly impressed with this Ipod knock off.
The sound is really good through the headphones. I like the whole concept of it and there is no problem navigating the different controls. The only problem I have with it is that it is ridiculous that it took me nearly 12 hours for the phone to connect to my PC to get the music on it through the USB cable!!! 👿 I searched high and low in these forums and elsewhere across the net only to find out that numerous people have the same problem! And the fix is...keep trying...it will connect eventually 😳 Other than this, I like it alot! Good reception, no problems w/ other people hearing me, good camera. Beats my old V710. I have to say, good riddance moto 🙂

I live in NY, so the climate isn't exactly arid here.. I'm looking into getting myself a white chocolate (no finger prints 😁), but I'm concerned if the touch controls will work in the cold weather outside here.

Anyone have any thoughts/experience on this?
