LG VX-8500 Chocolate

Mine just started to go out. I dont understand it. I just got it a little over two weeks ago, and the vibration of the phone is getting weaker. Anyone else notice this?

I am eligible to upgrade in about 3 months, so I was wondering if the Chocolate 2 is coming to verizon. It looks pretty sweet in the pictures.

For those of you that are having problems are you aware that our phone is now supported. I just got the Chocolate and used it yesterday, no problems at all. I sent all my contacts from bitpim to my phone as well as all my old ringers and not one glitch!!!

i just purchased the vcast essentials kit with the usb cable. i was just wondering how to transfer my pictures from my phone to my pc with the cable, if at all possible? and also if it is possible to back up contacts and calender events and stuff like that.

hi all. can any1 tell me can i get my contact info off of my lg vx8000 phone and save it to my computer? i have a data cable and bitpim and qpst. i have never used these programs though. I want to do this in hopes to saving it to a lg chocolate or vx8600. i will be getting one of these phones in 2 weeks. Please dont be upset for me posting this in this forum.thanks.

WMP10 is not recognizing my new chocolate in the sync tab. Any suggestions?

I bought the MEK and am happy wit it but my phone doesnt seem to charge when it is connected to my pc. I cna still sync music but it wont charge. any1 else have this problem, is it my fone, cpu, or the usb cable? All help is appreciated

Hey everyone. I was just wondering if it is possible to change the awful Verizon red color on the phone display. I am not sure exactly what it is called. I currently have the 8300 (which you can change the color) and am looking at upgrading to the Chocolate, but if I can't change that red I might keep my 8300 for a bit longer. I tried Soundforge and I was only allowed to send one ringtone then Verizon blocked me from ever sending that kind of files to myself. When I called they said they had the right to cancel that service. Has that happen to any of you yet? I also have tried BITPIM setting it both manually and automaticlly but no luck. BITPIM gives me a message that says: "We've found an unexpected error" and it just asks me to close it. Does any one know what else to do? Please help. I have the second generation chocolate the one that already comes with the speakerphone. Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I have a LG VX 8500/W and with that phone, obviously, you get 12 ringtones and melodies and what not. Ringtone #12 on this sounds very familiar, I know that it is an actual song and I have been going crazy to figure out the song title. Does anyone know the name of that song?

Any idea of a place to go to get Display themese for the Chocolate? The Jazz & Rock & Roll are getting kinda old.

What does anyone else think about the red, green, and white chocolates? Don't you think the red outside display sensors would be hard to see and on the white they look pink. The green looks nice at first but I think it would be annoying after awhile, maybe if it was darker. Let me know what you think

I was wondering if it is possible to use an mp3 (or WMA) file and set as a ringtone on the Chocolate. I've tried to look this up in the manual but I haven't found anything.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Why is it that my phone is not able to read MPEG4 files? Are these the same as WMA(Windows Media Player) files? I am confused bc I though the fone could identify both.

hi all, can this phone play a dvd that you put on your memory card? That is if i shrink it to fit.

All of the service menu items are confusing. Is there anyone who might be able to define some of these or maybe direct me to where I can find the info?

I know about turning off the evdo thing and I dont really think that it saves battery life. It is probably less radio waves though.

i have two 8500s got one for my brother and both phones worked fine. then i got the speakerphone software put in and one phone the screen was white? my phone is flashing bright to dim? but mine still works, the other phone
i had to exchange for a new one ,
my quetion is anybody else have this prob?
and what did you do about it?
