Not too smart

Nov 18, 2006 by qwe

I do lot of text messaging and find it a chore just to go to my mail boxes. This phone has a dedicated messaging key, but it doesn't go directly to the mail box page. You may have to complete a few steps and links just to go to the inbox. When selecting the messaging key you usually end up right were you left off in messaging previously and you then have to figure out the steps to bring you back to the mail box page which this phone calls “Text Messages”. An example is if you are in your sent folder and you select a sent message to view and it then loads in you screen. If you then select the home page to do something else this phone will remember you were viewing this particular message from your sent folder. In the mean time later on and this could be at any time later on you receive a text message from someone. The home screen says you have 1 message on the text message line. You then select the message line on the home screen by pushing the center select key. This phone won’t bring to the new message just received, but will bring you to the previous message you were viewing. This applies also the dedicated messaging key which if chosen will bring you to whatever message you were previously at. At this point to get out of this page (the sent message in my example) you have to press the “previous screen/back key” which will take you back to the sent folder which lists the messages in this folder. Then you have to select ‘menu’ by pressing the “right soft key”. Then you have to scroll down the popup menu to ‘folders’ and press the “center select key”. Finally you are in the text message page which contains all the mail box folders such as drafts, inbox, outbox, and sent items. You then have to scroll to the inbox and select this with the center select key. Well finally you are at the text message which was just received. How many steps just to view a text message in the inbox? This is insane.
