LG VX-7000

Former LG8100 and Moto E815 User - So much happier
Hard to compare this phone with any other...sure the 8100 and e815 comes packed with features and red carpet, however unfortunately most are disabled or useless. This phone is solidly built, clear calls/sound, vibrate is awesome, great reception, and overall it has basic features...and the features work!
LG's Most capable model
Phonescoop.com states this phone is here to replace the LG6000, but it is actually in a league of its own. This phone is as capable as any broadband phone in the market you and don't have to shell out $250.00 + to get performance. I have used the LG6100, LG6000, LG4500, LG510, LG10, MOTOv60 series,Audiovox 8600 and Samsung a670. By far this phone blows them out of the water. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros-1. Extemely easy to talk on...bigger base to hold on to.2. Great earpiece for call quality, good capability to modify settings to your liking.3. Get It Now and Web are great. 4.Good LCD screens.
Cons- 1. Camera quality could be better. 2.Buttons sometimes make noises below key pad. 3. Not too flashy on the outside. 4.Menus not Intuitive. Overall---no regrets. Forget my Samsung!
It's just OK
I had a Motorola V710. According to Verizon there was some problem with recieving text messages on that phone which motorola was working on. I decided to go with the LG VX7000 after returning my Moto.
My partner loves her LG VX7000. I feel that the phone is just ok. It's decent. It makes calls and sends messages but it just isn't the greatest phone ever.
Pros
The display is beautiful! Better then my V710.
Cons
Using the space key when text messaging.
No speakerphone
I like it, and it was free!!!
So far so good. I just switched from cingular and really like this phone. Camera is good, and reception is way better than cingular. It is a little big for the pocket but it still fits fine. Ear piece on the phone itself is very loud, i work in a machine shop and can still hear it fine.
I would recommend this phone to anyone.
OK phone...more for like mom
I love the camara, that is the main reason why I got the phone. It is pretty boring otherwise!
Pros:
Rotating camara
Send txt/pix message
Vid record
Can get clear oem holster
Swap out faceplates
Dropped it many times/holds up well (except battery goes flying!)
Cons:
When phone is flipped up, and recieving messages..even if the vol is high ...the speaker is very low...sometimes will not even ring if its flipped up
Front Display Banner...does not work
No point to having a front wallpaper..you cannot remove the time, so you cannot see the wallpaper!
Cannot take pix with phone in clip!
Does not have speaker phone
No point in flash, very crappy quality, but pics otherwise are impressive.
On the older models (blue face) they had dual charger ports, I have the newer model (black face) has single charger port.
No blu tooth
BIGGEST PET PEEVE, CLR button is above SEND button...so when texting or something...when trying to clear..always hits send! GRRRR
an OK but disappointing phone
I'm somewhat disappointed in this phone. First and foremost, it doesn't sound as good or have the reception that my old Kyo 2235 did.
I could care less about a camera or text messing. The internet features might be something I'd turn on.
But the software isn't nearly as useful or as intelligent as the Kyo.
There's no entry field in a contact for a hard address or note.
When you have a voice mail notice and the option to "listen now", that press only dials vm, but doesn't enter the PW from memory like pressing "1" would.
No fast keypress to record a voice note. The up key did that on the Kyo.
It's larger than I'd like, probably due to the stinking camera.
It's vibrate or ring only, no combo, vibrate then ring like my Kyo.
Lack of analog is a drag.
I do like the large keys and font on the screen. Too bad the font is tiny for incoming calls id.
Color screen is very nice except in bright sunlight. Hard to beat that though.
Lack of speakerphone doesn't really bother me. Same with BlueTooth coz VZW doesn't feel it's in their "best interest" to do so at this time.
It seems sturdy.
I wish Kyo had a better phone available thru VZW. They have some new ones in the pipeline. But for now....
ALMOST THERE!!
i absolutely love this phone! a little big for my taste but still comfortable to hold.
pros:
+nice battery life
+decent reception
+nice camera
+bright screen
+nice videos
+clear sound
cons
-no speakerphone
-annoying little beeping noises in the background when im in a call. not sure what this is but my girlfriends 7000 does the same thing. you tend to not hear it after a while.
the beeping isnt that big of deal. its just kinda confusing/annoying at first. but once you block it out you rarely hear it again.
awsome fone
I just but this phone a couple of hours ago and all i have to Say is that it is awsome, i recently had the samsung a670 but that thing had so much damage on it that i decided to buy a new phone. this phone has every thing, BUT has two cons.
CONS: one is that annoying buzzing sound when on the phone ,
and last (NO) SPEAKER PHONE i was planbning to buy the 8000 but found it useless since all it had differ from this one was speaker phone. all in all the phone is sweet defiantly worth the $$$$$$.
Super, Excellent phone
This phone is wonderful and believe me I have been called the cell-phone queen and all kinds of things I have been through numerous phones but nothing like this one!
there is only one word for this phone
GREAT
the only thing i don't like about it is the camera doesn't work to good in the dark or dim lighting
other than that this phone is the best I have had
Dropping calls
Great phone, owned since July 2004 but lately it has been dropping calls. Reception has been cutting in/out on some calls also. Verizon wireless/Los Angeles area. While connected I can see the signal bar go from 3 or 4 down to 1 and then call is lost. Verizon says it's not a service problem most likely handset problem.
Anyone with similar problem?
