Disappointing for a Nokia Throwback
I bought this phone looking for a newer, updated version of the Nokia 1600, and I was not impressed by the build quality or the interface.
Pros: Small size, simple phone. Decent call quality. Flashlight on top is cute. Has some fun games installed.
Cons: Buttons were difficult to push, no center "select" button, even though there is a directional button set on a ring around what should be a "select" button. Keys are stiff and not great for texting on.
Body feels plasticy and brittle.
Sim card is very difficult to install and it takes a couple tries to get it to register.
Phone is extremely light, which actually makes it difficult to hold while dialing as it doesn't have enough weight to stay in my hand.
Overall: it's ok, I guess. I switched back to my 3120b because I like the keypad and functionality much better. I would only use this phone as a last resort.
Nokia 1616
Reminds me of the Nokia 1208 that was out awhile back. Had a flashlight too.
T-Mobile has this phone on it's pre-pay lineup.
Gets the job done really well.
