ZTE F160
ZTE F160
The previous reviewer has a hardware issue with his microphone, or his attachments microphone. So I thought I would attach my own review.
SUMMARY: Excellent phone for basic cell phone user, if they can handle the candy-bar style of phone. Does not have advanced features.
PRO's:
This phone has great sized buttons, the folks I issued it to, did not complain that the buttons were too small. Also it picks up AT&T signal amazingly well, better than our Pantech, Nokia, and Motorola flip phones. The design is simple to use and we use it for our basic cell users. (Not for advanced feature users). It has bluetooth and a camera, and that's about the most advanced thing we need for our basic folks. Great sound quality, nice loud ringers.
CON's:
I do not have many people who are fans of the candy-bar style of this phone. Even with the button lock, they are still pocket dialing, etc. Also there is no way to change the shortcut buttons so that it goes to something other than the WEB. I blocked DATA with AT&T but there is a shortcut button on the phone that is in the middle of the navigation buttons, that will take you to AT&T's web everytime. It's a pain that you can't change the settings so that this would launch the address book or something else.
headset jack
When I purchased the F160 I first tried it with my cochlear implant connecting cable by attaching it directly to the receiver on my implant to the headset jack on the phone. I then called my wife and was able to talk and listen to her, which is why I got this particular model. Now when I call her or anyone else, I can hear them but they can't hear me. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
