REVISED - stick a fork in Casio and Verizon - I'm done with both...
My initial review was pretty good. But after 13 months and no trauma to the 'hardened' phone, I began 'freezing' requiring removal of battery to reset the phone.
After multiple factory resets I contacted Verizon, who stated they have DISCONTINUED the Casio Commando, and they have no other hardened phone offering, and they state I am out of warranty and can PURCHASE A NEW PHONE AT FULL PRICE if I don't like the one I currently have.
Stick a fork in Casio. Stick a fork in Verizon. I am thru with both companies.

Going Commando
The microphone on this phone is absolutely abysmal.
When anyone calls the phone, the person sounds like either they are inside of a tin soda can or talking from the Grand Canyon.
Multiple hard resets, phone exchange when it was still newly released. No resolution. Casio should stay away from mobile market.

Great after 4.1 update
Since the update this phone is working great. I do have to re-boot every two days, but i have 4 email accounts and use the navigation and bluetooth/wifi all day. Battery life is not good if you are in a spotty coverage area, but in good areas it is a day charger.
Recomend for anybody looking for a rugged phone.

Disappointed ... Wireless connectivity problems result in increased data charges
I have the C811 and have had nothing but problems with it. The microphone and speaker setup is too low in volume so that the voice command had constant problems. I returned the first one and the replacement has wireless connectivity problems with certain routers (my netgear WNDR3700 especially). This phone uses Android 4.0.4 JellyBean and the net is filled with forums that complain about the wireless connectivity issues. Oddly, the Verizon Forums do not mention word one about the wireless connectivity issue. But there's plenty on the following posting:

Does anyone have the same problem and is there a work around? My Verizon Store suggests that I replace my router (I have a Galaxy S4, Ipad, Acer A500, MAC, Windows 7 PC & multiple iphones working on the same router without issue) but I'm not sure that it is a router issues.
I'm sorry that I stuck with the Casio/Verizon/Android 4.0.4 combo.
