A good phone, with caveats
These can still be picked up on Ebay, and occasionally Amazon will have refurbished units. They are usually priced around $100-150 if you look around. This is excellent value.
What you get is a good phone with a quad core processor, decent memory and 32 or 64GB of storage. The GPU is also excellent and can handle the majority of modern mobile games.
What you don't get, at least in stock form, is the Google Play store. The Amazon App Store does have most common apps (Facebook, things like that) and most games. Sometimes they offer cheaper deals as well. Of course it lacks all the core Google apps like YouTube which users of regular Android will find frustrating at best.
The good news is that it's quite easy to add Google Play to the phone but it will be unsupported by Amazon if you do. If you are willing to deal with that caveat you'll have a very decent phone at a good price.
