Hello,

I am looking for a nokia with good reception. Currently I have a Motorola v220 which I am very unhappy with and it was suggested to me that I try nokia. So I am looking at the 6010 and 3120. I do not really care about all the gadgets but the speaker phone would be nice. My main concern is reception. With the v220 I get two bars in the house but it will not carry the signal past dialing. Which is funny since my old TDMA nokia (3560) had four bars once it started to read Cingular. To be honest I did not try to use the phone at that time but it had a higher bar reading than it has since we moved. 😁 Will TMOBILE get either of these? Are these phones good? whats the difference between the two?

Just got a new Nokia 6585 w/ US Cellular. The #1 speed dial seems to be pre-programmed to go to voice mail but I get this recording saying my call cannot be completed as dialed. I have my mail box set up and can access it by dialing in manually. Is there a way to make this #1 speed dial work? This is a great little phone btw!! Thanks for any input.

Does anyone know where I can get cheap X-press covers for my nokia 6610? I tried ebay but most of that stuff is garbage and the paint fades after a couple of weeks. I would like to get an OEM that way it will stay nice looking for more than 3 weeks.

For anyone who's a Nokia fan, pick up the latest issue of The Economist (the Feb 12th-18th issue, I believe).

Has a very good article on them, how they went astray and lost marketshare, and the positive things they're doing to get it back. 🙂

Hi guys. I plan to buy my sister an Ngage but am not able to decide which of them would be the better buy the normal N-Gage or the N-Gage QD. Pls help me out on this issue it would be much appreciated. Also tell me wether i should buy her the bluetooth dongle or should i just get her an MMC card reader. Any and all advice is welcome.

I got my verizon plan from Radio Shack... Don't ever do that. I explained all of what I needed and got exactly what didn't work for me. Neither I nor anyone else can hear my phone ring and was later told by Radio Shack that was a downfall of this phone... and they would not exchange or correct this situation either!!!! It's a Samsung flip phone. Sometimes it doesn't even ring at all but I do get the message tone which is very evident that the phone should have rang.

So I hear Nokia is a loud ringer. I need good reception and don't want dropped calls either. I don't need a camera phone but would not mind being able to hook into the internet with it. I was looking at the 6015i... is this phone ok and does anyone know what retail ...

if you could have a phone that could do anything given todays technology what would you enable it to do...?

be reasonable, for instance an i-pod type phone or the ability to watch dvd's on the move. DAB radio etc etc...

Hi everyone! I just migrated from AT&T to Cingular, and I am picking a new phone. I am trying to choose between the LG L1400, Motorola V551, and the Nokia 6230. One of my reasons for the Motorola candidate is that I currently have a Motorola for my work cell and keeping one type of charger laying around is desirable, but I am willing to consider other phones. What do you guys think of the three candidates that I listed (which seem to be Cingular's best options is my service area)? Which one would you choose? Also, except for the price tag of $300, I would include the Motorola MPx220 in my selection choice - is it worth the money?

How's the reception between these two phones? I currently have the 6200. The 6200 is supposedly great in reception, but my phone seems to lose service regularly and is slow to pick it back up. How is the 6820 in the reception department?

i live in canada and user rogers, but recently purchased an AWS Nokia 3620 from ebay. phone works great and i love it...but it wont lemme connect to the net. i was sent the WAP settings from rogers data support but i think im doing something wrong...can someone help?
