6205

I really don't wan't the whole Dark Knight part of the 6205, but I'm looking for a mid-range phone and don't really like the other phones Verizon has to offer. My main wants in a phone are:

1. Good reception (especially in difficult/remote areas)
2. Good voice/sound quality
3. Decent battery life
4. Camera that takes pix that are occasionally useable. I noticed the 6205 has a flash!
5. Blutooth that works
6. Decent speakerhone
7. Voice commands that work

That's it. I don't need to surf the web, text or any multi-media stuff. The music player will probably get some use, but I do have an iPod.

For anyone who has actually used the phone, what do you think, and Is it true the phone comes with an extra battery cover without the Bat...

Has Nokia conceded the U.S. market?

I can remember just a couple of years ago when it seemed like every carrier out there offered at least two or three Nokia models. Most companies had at least an entry-level and a mid-level Nokia model. Now it seems like the only company with even two Nokia models is AT&T. What gives? I am a firm believer in Nokia's quality manufacturing and I really hope they haven't given up on the American consumer.

aging nokia

I have a bar nokia that is on the fritz that I must replace - sadly. I really like the bar design, and the LOUD speaker-phone quality. I spoke to the Verizon guys and they told me that nothing like that is made anymore -- maybe, maybe the Nokia 2630 could come close.

Does anyone have this phone? Is the speaker phone loud? I mean, LOUD? Can you recommend a bar phone with a loud speaker phone? I don't care about cameras, texting...

Thanks for the help!

N75 issues - only 1 month old

I recently got a N75. Its only been little over a month and I notice several issues.
1. I cannot access the camera with the flip closed. If I power down and back up it will work the first time. but if I use any other functions and try to go back to camera mode with flip closed, it does not work. this is holding the button down making sure its being pushed.
2. The phone would turn off without me knowing it. also nothing pushing the button down.
I asked the place where I purchased the phone from and they said software issue.
I have the current FW. 10.1.282 and I can not find anywhere from the Nokia site about upgrades.
does anyone have any possible reasons why the phone is acting up like this?
I will be calling AT&T, my provided and ask...

N95-3: High-pitched whine on recievers end?

I recently purchased a N95-3 and am regretting it, but not from the phone itself. I hear just fine using it, calls are clear. However when i've been talking with friends they said it occasionally makes a high-pitched deafening whine in short bursts at random moments. I personally never hear it on my end, but anyone I talk to finds it quite irritating.

I currently have AT&T and was thinking maybe random network noise, but i've never had this problem on my old razr, its only when I switch my SIM card to the N95 and use it.

Has anyone had this problem before? I cant find any like experiences anywhere.

good brand Micro SD card for N75

any recommendations what what brand Micro SD card for N75?

I am currently using a Sandisk Micro SD card kit with adapter. 2GB.
I don't know if its the card or phone. but I been having issues with the 1st N75. now with the replacement N75, it gave me a message of phone start up failed after trying to restore my settings my SD.
is it common for the phone to show a message of failure start? and just reboot again and it works fine.
any thoughts?
thanks

Nokia Phone 6220 from Germany

I'd like some info please. Somebody is moving to the US and has trouble understanding how to get a prepaid cell phone work in the US. I understand the phone has to be unlocked and triband- compatible. Are there US sim cards available to make this work here? Any advice is deeply appreciated!

Help with choice

I'd liked to have some opinions about three phones. My main goal is to have a phone with the best reception and I've heard Nokia is one of the best. Out of the 6085 for free, the 6555 for $50, and the N75 for $100, which will provide the best reception?

N 75 battery life

Just got this update from my carrier about how to improve the N75's battery life (forgive if it's already been posted):
The phone is constantly looking for the 3G network- if you live outside of a 3G area, it makes the battery run down faster.
Follow these steps:
menu>
settings>
configuration>
connection>
packet data>
packet data connection: change to "when needed"
leave access point as it is.

I can't confirm that this works, I just changed the settings myself, but it makes sense.
Good Luck
