New SE P990 in eWeek
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the new Sony-Ericsson P990 reported to be released 2nd Quarter this year. There is an article in the Feb. 13th issue of eWeek discussing how Sony-Ericsson is in joint development with Microsoft on an enterprise version of ActiveSync email software(which is already in use for Windows 5 smartphones). The article states that the target device is the new Sony P990 with a photo of said phone on page 33 of the issue.

P910 Calendar phone numbers
Is there any way to dial a phone number in a calendar entry directly from the calendar view?
It would seem obvious that if you make an appt in the calendar and include a contacts phone number, you should be able to tap on the number and the phone dial it. If you input a number in jotter, the phone recognizes it there and dials it if you tap on the number... but not in calendar, which is a major shortcoming.

Reliable "unlocking" source for SonyEricsson phones
I would like to buy Cingular's W600i but need an unlocked version of it. Can anyone recommend a RELIABLE HONEST unlocking service that can unlock SonyEricsson phones?

If i get the right configurations for the w800 like sms/net/mms this phone should work for cingular?
I just noticed that sony's website gives you the configuration to set up mms/net for your phone with whatever gsm carrier you have. If i set this up correctly the phone should work on cingy's network?9i mean will i be able to surf the net and send and receieve pic messages) This question is for the w800i or the new w810i.

W600i - Calendar sync from Outlook - screenshot?
Can anyone point me toward a screenshot of what a day's worth of appointments looks like on a W600i (or any SE phone where the calendar looks the same) after having been downloaded from Outlook?
I like everything I've read about this phone and am considering buying one, but I will need to utilize the sync function to carry my Outlook calendar with me, and I'd like to see what it looks like.

Problem with SE w600i uploading pictures
I just got my Sony Ericsson w600i yesterday and I'm still playing with it to learn all the features and buttons, but I think I'll be fine. I'm avoiding adding any extra java programs because of all the "white screen of death" posts I've been reading about. I started using the PC software that comes with it, but I'm having a problem.
I've tried adding my pictures to the phone via the PC Suite program and USB cable and it goes through, but the pictures don't show up on the phone. Anyone else have this problem? I'm going to try uninstalling the software on my computer and re-install it, but if anyone had this problem and found a way to fix it, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!!

Need SE input... looking to replace Moto on Cingular
I'm shopping to replace my Moto V551, and am leaning towards the SE S710a or the W600i. Hoping you SE users can answer a few questions for me.
Can anyone tell me (or direct me to a screenshot that shows me) how SE phones display address book entries that contain multiple phone numbers? On the Moto, the address book list only displays one entry, so I have to scroll down to that one entry, then L/R arrow to display each individual phone entry for that person. Curious whether it's the same on SE phones or whether I can see all phone #'s for each person.
Also, I assume both these SE's will sync with Outlook, correct?
And finally, are the ringers pretty loud on the SE's? I can't hear my Moto when I'm in the next room.

Z520.. for boy or girls or both?
I have heard from some websites saying that the Sony Ericsson Z520 is for lady's. I was planning on getting one until i heard it was for girls. I am planning on getting the one with the dark blue faceplate and the phone is light grey. Is it a rumour or is it true that this phone is for girls or is it for girls and boys?

Calling card function on SE Z520
I used to have a T637, great phone. It had a calling card feature that I could use to make long distance calls overseas. Much cheaper than the long distance rates at Cingular.
I upgraded to a Z520, since it was free and it only extended my contract by 1 year. I can't find the calling card function. Did Cingular remove it when they customized and locked the phone? If so, would flashing the phone put it back?

wheres the W800i ?
i've read about it on cnet but i want more info like is it durable at all? can you make mp3's into ringtones? can i use my own headphones? is there photo caller id? etc... i just registered so i dont know if the ppl who run this site read these forums often but they really should have the w800 on here, its gotta be the hottest phone out from SE right now. probably why its about $500 😲

s710a Chatboard CHA-10 Compatiable
i have a s710a unlocked for Cingular. When i plug my keyboard into it, it will only let me type in upper case letters. Is there a differnt keyboard for Sony that will let me type properly?

I cant get the battery compartment open on wifes 710a. there is a little tab at the end of it but I cant get it to move in any direction. nor can I get the cover to slide off. any suggestions?

Best Bluetooth Headset for K750i Price and quality Any Ideas?
I would like to know if anyone out there has a bluetooth headset for the K750i. Which one would you say is the best for the money? I do need one and I would like to know where in the USA can you get a decent one. I bought my phone from exoticphone.com and I believe they sell them.

memory stick specifics?
does anyone have any specifics and its memory card? what memory cards does it accept? im already assuming that it does not accept memory stick PRO duo unless theres some specific mem card formatting specifically for use with the fone. i have tried both 128 mb and 1 gb memory stick PRO duos. at first i thought it was because it tried the 1 gb stick first, figured, maybe it just not capable of goin that big, but 128 mb isn that big? anyways.... blah, blah, blah... the rest is not important, if anyone have any info on memory stick specifics with this fone, i would greatly appreciate it... this sucks only bein able to carry 16 songs!

hi just wondering if anyone knows if sony has improved on the mic picking up backround noise. I love sony phones i had a 68, 616 and now a 637 but all of those phones had a tendancy to transmit everything that goes on around me. If there is someone standing in line even 4 or 5 ppl behind me talkin its as if he was talkin on my phone, atleast thats what it sounds like to people on the other end. I know motorola is really good with their mics and im wondering if sony started adding any noise filters into any of their newer phones like the z520a or the upcoming 600 phone? anyone know?
