Samsung SGH-T629

could someone tell me please if this phone supports and plays smaf (.mmf) files

I want to set my phone up where some of the people calling in do not ring through and just go to voice mail. I have not found a silent option on here to do that is there another way.

I have samsung t629. I bought microSD card last week. when i insert card, phone ask me format this card, and then display message that "failed, please reinsert card". i dont know what going on, T629 use microSd or miniSd, someone can let me know?

Heard nothing but great things about this phone. My buddy got one and I was impressed with it completely, so I got one myself mainly for the fact that it looks great and can play some of my favorite mp3's. Along with the phone I got a Kingston 2GB MicroSD card so that my Samsung T629 phone could play up to 500 of my favorite songs. Well the problem I first faced was that the phone didn't recognize mp3's encoded higher than 128kbps. A few would play with bit rates higher than that, but not most. A lot of other CNET members have had similar issues that I've read about on the forums. So to get around this, I used BlazeMedia Pro to re-encode all the mp3's I wanted to play on the phone to the quality of 128kbps.

hey guys i just got this samsung phone. here is my question..at the main screen you can press the arrows to get two shortcuts in the menu. fot example if you press down it goes straight to your phone contacts. is there any way to change the short cuts??

so me and my sister downloaded music from tzones and we tried to use bluetooth to give each other songs but when we sign onto bluetooth the music folder is empty except for mine bcuz some friends sent me some songs and i noticed that the songs we downloaded have a key next to the title of the songs in my files on the phone which im guessing means theyre locked or something...so how can we send music on bluetooth?

I know you can apply whatever sound you have on your phone as a ringtone. Is there a way you can upload your own sounds/MP3 WITHOUT purchasing a memory card?

Wow does this phone have horrible signal....What a peice of garbage.

Can you talk on the phone, navigate through the phone, call out and answer phone calls while the phone his closed?

hey, i've had my phone for about 3 months?
and i know you can put mp3's on your cell phone by buying a memory card for it, i have a little memory card for it and i know its the right one because i talked to the guy at best buy, i have the adapter memory card too, i put mp3s on my phone and they worked, but when i tried to put them as a ringtone it was to long,

how do i get it small enough to put a real song as my ringtone and not have to buy one on t-zones, etc.

and, now my mp3's won't even play on my phone it says that the file isn't recognized, so i used my friends memory card and it dosent recognize that either, do you think it's just a glitch on the phone?

and again, mp3's a ringtone. help

What accessories came with your phone? Did it come with the stereo headset and USB data cable like the T809 does?

Is there a way to turn off the shutter sound using firmware or something?

so the red button (the call end button / the "on button" was malfunctioning) the past few days... then when i charged the phone- it just turned off during its charge cycle. since the red button doesn't work- my phone won't turn on...

any ideas on how to alleviate this matter? 😕 ☹️

For some reason I have been unable to change the permissions in regards to my Java Applications - Gmail and Google Maps. For the programs to work, they need to be granted permission to access the network (always, never ask). Unfortunately, even though the option to change this seems to be there (highlight program, choose options, choose permissions) the choice is locked and set to "No, never ask"

Although I can still check my email within T-Zones for $5/month, I would like to do so in Java format because it is a much smoother and faster interface with a better graphical interface.

From what I have read in the google forums, the "ADP" settings need to be changed - but this is not allowed for the user, nor does it seem doable from Tmob...

Does anyone know if you can change the color scheme?

I just bought a new phone and gave my Samsung t629 to my boyfriend but I can't figure out how to change the color from highlighting in pink to something a little more manly..lol.

so i have a motorola blue tooth h500 and i wanted to know can my samsung sgh-t629 use it or do i have to go get a new one?

It seems when i take a picture it hesitates for about 2 seconds before it snaps, is this a problem anyone else has? if so can it be fixed?

Does anyone know if this phone is compatible with itunes or rhapsody purchased songs?

its pretty lame how it just turns off, does it have a screen saver?

I am thinking about buying either this phone or the Trace. I'm worried the data kit and usb cord won't work with my g5--read on the samsung site that the data kit is for PCs only. Does this mean that my only option is to buy a Mac bluetooth adapter to get mp3s on my phone? Does anyone have experience with this?
