BlackBerry Pearl 8100

I was adding some themes on my Pearl and now when I did the device manager, apparently I deleted something I shouldn't have and now when I try to use anything on my media, it says it cannot display it. PLEASE HELP!!!

Does anyone else who uses mp3's on their Pearl notice that if you have any track with fairly heavy bass that it sounds really weird? Like a "ringing" in the headphones? It has done this with two different sets of headphones...any comments/suggestions?

has anyone ever actually gotten a defective unit. i got intouch with cingular about my pearl, and they say its a defective unit. so far its got two problems, the camera doesnt work, and everynow and then the sound messess up. it will play all sound through the small speaker on the front, even the ringtones, even when headphones are plugged it. im sending it in for a replacement.

I'm a little ticked...I like the Pearl a lot, but I have dust behind the screen and I don't know how to get it out. You can see it very plainly on a bright day or when the screen is black! It sucks!

Also, is there any way to disable the backlight dimming? I'd like it to stay bright the entire time. Thanks for any help in advance!

HELP...no one can hear me when I call and the voice dialing won't work. I can hear them just fine!

Hi, I have T Mobile but I really like the red pearl offered by AT&T. It seems the features are different like the set up of the screen. When you cordinate it with T Mobile will this change to the T Mo version or is this just built into the phone itself? EX: Like on T Mo the icons are at the bottom if you like but with AT&T they are all over the screen. Also, does anyone know if I do purchase the red BB can it really configure with the T Mo version? Will I be able to have the browser, email, and MMS?? Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 😁

I am comparing both pearl and blackjack for Cingular. I heard lots of complaints about blackjack's battery life. My needs are good phone, email use hotmail, viewing word attachments. I like the size of pearl compared to blackjack.

I just got my new blackberry pearl, and everything works fine, except the camera. when i open the app the viewfinder works great, when i either zoom in all the way or attempt to take a picture the viewfinder freezes and i have to take the battery out. i've erased the Os and put in an updated on (the one for the red pearl) and that didnt work, so i put the original one back on. has anyone heard of this problem?

Greetings all, I recently purchased the BB Pearl and I am loving it. I always come here and read the posts on any phone I own at the time and I must say you guys are very informative. My question is does the BB Pearl have a feature where it allows the phone to vibrate and ring and secondly is there a separate section for setting alert tones for either voice mail or text messages. I have read the manual completely but did find a few things out on the forum that wasn't included in the manual (like locking the keypad without going through the apps). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YES I know they're completely different phones but they both have a sleek refined ergonomic look to them. I have the V3T for use with T-Mobile's service but am considering adding or just switching over to the Pearl because it's menus aren't so hard to find and tweak. I would just like to know if anybody wants to add their 2 Cents worth on this? One thing I hate is when I'm recording video or texting my message indicator cues in and screws up my task at hand... Does this happen on the RIM Pearl too? Drives me crazy!

I live in a very large city and am currently sitting at my desk on my employer's wireless network, and the phone has never found "EDGE" or "GPRS". It is 98% edge and every now and then will jump to gprs for a split second. does anyone know why exactly?

Hi all, I have a private # through Cingular.

How do I make my Pearl show the phone # to select people that I want to see my # when I place a call?

The *82 thing doesn't work & I can't see any info about it in my manual.

I have read past forums about sending music by going to music hitting send via bluetooth and then going to mac to send file choose and send, and i know errors show up sometimes or whatever, but when i send music it goes to my ringtones folder even though i open connection through music. how do i get my songs to save in my music app.?? thanks in advance.

One thing i dont like about the Other Blackberrys is the fact that one handed typing is basically impossible. as a matter of fact, i dont like that about any full qwerty phones. but i love the fact that theres a full keyboard on them....yea, im crazy like that. anyway, how is one handed typing and navigating on the blackberry, and how is using both hands to type? if im lucky i'll have this thang by the end of the week......pray fo me!

1. The blue tooth with my vehicles U-Connect is crazy. Says connected then unconnected back and forth and constantly interrupts mail or typing.

Any suggestions? U-Connect was fine with my last to BB's. only the Pearl a problem

2. Use Lotus Notes for mail program. When transferred from old BB 7130, I can't get my old calendar items prior to date and files in my folder prior to activation won't show up yet in both cases all of this is still in my LN. Could htis be our BES?

OK,so I love how great the DVD's look on my pearl, but I am only using my ear peice that came witht he phone.. Does anyone know if I can somehow get an adapter and use my ipod headsets so that it will play through BOTH ear buds? thanks in advance.

Quirks That Annoy Me On WinMo5/BJ

-Icon "Desktop" not customizable. Can you move them around and but what you want where you want?

-Task Manager to end applications. On Perl Too?
-Rings Loud. But Not Loud Enough. Loud???
-Cannot see full wallpaper. Enough Said.
-A little wide. Thin is ok. This is ok on perl.
-Qwerty Tooooooo Small.

Please let me know if any of these are better on the perl.
