I cant' find info about whether or not the keypad has a backlight, for texting/calling in dimly lit areas. Please let me know . Thanks.

Got my sch u740 about a year ago almost. I purchased 3 ring tones for my cell about 3 months after that online. The ring tones where sent to my phone and worked great. One day every time I went to go play em they wouldn't. So i said ok no big deal i will just erase them and then download them again. I went to delete the ring tone and every time I tried it will stay there. Since this happened you can no longer buy ring tones for your cell phone from verizon online. So im stuck with 3 ring tones tracks in my ring tone lists that are 0kb each. Every time i go to erase them they wont. Even if I "Reset" the phone back to factory settings. I have owned my u740 since April. I have had no issues with it at all. The battery life has been great up until this week. I always wait until I get the low battery signal before I charge it. Anyway, I have dropped my phone 3/4 times here in the last week or two much to my chagrin. Ouch! these drops have been on concrete from a standing positon. My question is does anybody know if the drops could affect how long the battery is lasting now? It seems strange to me that all of a sudden it doesn't hold a charge. I charged it fully the other night and by the afternoon yesterday (with no to very little use) it was down to 2 bars. I turned it off last night and this morning I was down to 1 bar. Does it sound like something might...

so i had alot of phones and i love this one!!! its small compact and gets the job done fast and easy!!!

I just got a u740 and havent noticed till now but does the keypad backlight work on this phone? I went to text in the dar and no backlight. My phone was on low battery, could that be the reason?

Does anyone know when, or dare I say IF, Verizon will finally offer ESPN MVP for this phone? I have the brand new black version, and it has every other option EXCEPT for ESPN MVP!! That was the only application that I was really looking forward to!

hey so I am selling my two month old samsung u740 Black! It is in good condition never dropped and just has scratches from everyday use on the back...how much would you want it for?

Anyone having good luck with a blue tooth headset and this phone??? I still need to buy one and want to know if anyone has any advice.

Hi all...I have a couple different bluetooth headsets, and none of them work even remotely well. I do not want to purchase another headset just to find out the problem is with my phone. Is there anyone out there that may be having the same problem? Is there a way for VZW techs to "properly" troubleshoot my phones bluetooth ability, or can I look forward to them telling me that the problem lies with my headsets?

Any ideas? I can't seem to find one that's wide enough to mount the phone horizontally.

I'm wanting to get a bluetooth headset to use with this phone, but it seems this phone doesn't work well with all of them. I've heard, and read, a few different times on how someone with multiple headsets couldn't get any of them to work properly with the phone.

In your experience... what seems to th best most compatible headset for this phone?

I recently got the u740, and all and all it's pretty good, however, I have a potential deal breaker.

The reason I bought this phone was to be able to better respond to emails though my mobile web access to my Gmail for my domain account.

I was able to access both regular gmail and gmail for my domain with my old LG8100. However, I can only access Gmail, not gmail for my domain with the u740. It's puts me in a infinite loop saying for your security you must log into this page.

Other than that, the only other issue I've had with this phone is the calendar glitch. Does anyone know what the latest firmware is for the phone, and will it fix these issues?

I've been having trouble sending ring tones to my phone lately. I use yahoo and it usually takes 10 time to finally go thru. Is anyone else experiencing this ? Any fixes ? This is the return email that I'm getting
