Razr 2 V9m for Alltel.
I will start this by saying that I do work for a company who sells cell phones. We handle Alltel, At&t, and Sprint (though Sprint not as much). At the moment, we have 17 different phones in stock, and we usually carry about 23 all together. I've done more than my fair share of testing different phones, and since we've been with Alltel for our phone service for about seven years now, I've gone through my own good amount of phones for personal use.
I've done Samsung, LG, Kyocera, Nokia; you name it, I've probably used or at least tried it. When I switched to the Motorola Razr V3m, I was content. Very good phone and did all I needed it to do. Unfortunately, it got lost and they replaced with with a less than perfect Razr V3a. Look iden...

Ring/vibrate
One simple question I have about this phone is whether it has a ring/vibrate option on it unlike my current V3m. I love my V3m and it has performed phenomenally well. I'm about due for my 'New Every Two' and am strongly considering the Razr2. So, does it have the ring/vibrate option? Thanks for any and all help.

Music on Phone
Is there a way to put music onto the phone w/o using the usb cable? Such as email or something? if so, how?
thanks
Verizon Battery Life
I have the v9m for Verizon. I only get about 11 hours of battery life, if that. Does anyone else have it that bad. And have you found anything to do to make it better? i.e. settings changes or buying a better or extended battery?
thanks
Sprint Razr2 V9m questions
Just picked one up, pretty sweet. Have a few questions if anyone out there can help me with.
1. Can you custom the vibrate pattern? I saw on older moto's you can make it dot-dash-dot, or a solid vibrate pattern. This seems to do what it wants.
2.) When you silence all, and take a pic with the camera, it still makes a sound. There's six options of camera sounds, but none of them have a "none" option. Nobody wants to hear that lame click sound.
Thanks 🙂

Voice Mail Alert (Vibrate) not woking for Verizon V9 ??
Have a new Razor2 V9 - like it except I keep it on vibrate. It vibrates ok when a call comes in BUT I need to use the alert option in case I miss a voicemail -- so that it keeps reminding me to check when I have missed voicemail. My V9 "every 2 minute alert" works when in ring mode (it beeps every 2 min) but when the phone is set to Vibrate it only vibrates when the phone voice mail initially comes in, then never again. Verizon says it should work as it is a feature, exchanged the phone but it still does not seem to work.
Can someone with a Verizon V9 please try to see if they can get it to work? If so, is it a strong enough vibrate that you would notice it in your pocket? If someone out there finds that this feature works for a Veri...

Missed Call beep?
Does the razr 2 have the missed call beep that just beeps until you see that you've missed the call? This is a feature that was annoying to me on my e815 but I now miss on my current phone. I am constantly missing calls and not even knowing it!

My Voyager went back, now v9m?
Okay, so now I'm back at the drawing board. I just couldn't stand the call quality of my Voyager so I took it back yesterday. I really want to get the v9m but I am worried that as soon as I do, it will come out in a better color (I'm hoping for a gold , red or pink!)
I've posted this before but am hoping maybe to get more responses this time.
Either this or are there any other Motorola phones coming out soon that I may not be aware of? Thanks in advance for any help. Right now I am just using my original Q and I gotta tell ya, the call quality is excellent compared to the Voyager! 🙂

Pricing --anytime soon lower?
Does anyone know if the pricing of the v9m will go down anytime soon? I am holding out to see if a new color comes out but haven't heard anything so I was considering buying it now. I just hate to buy it and then have the price drop right afterwards.

Questions
I have a krzr and was thinking about switching to the razr2 and have a couple questions. I am with Verizon and just exactly what color is the razr2? I have heard that it is the same color as the krzr (blackish) and I have heard others say that it is more of a copper front? Can anyone steer me the right way here? Has anyone switched from the krzr to the rzr2 and wished they hadn't.
Call quality--Chose Voyager over V9m and am considering changing....
my thoughts. I do not get good call quality on the VOyager. It is just muffled and I find myself having to repeat myself alot. I have always had Motorolas and am wondering if anyone else has noticed Motorola phones in general being more clear than the LG's. Specifically the v9m. How is the call quality?

V9m Keypad problems??
I have gone through 3 Verizon V9m's (getting the 4th), used 3 Sprint V9m's and an Alltel V9m, and probably tried out 20 or so more Verizon V9m's and a real problem in my opinion is the keypad. The MAJORITY of them are loose in one or more sections of the metal sheet making the keypad crunch, creak and/or wiggle when buttons are pressed. The rest of the phone is rock solid, so this is a real letdown.
Verizon V9m #1: Keypad was loose, hinge was clunky
Verizon V9m #2: Keypad was loose, hinge was smooth but weak
Verizon V9m #3: Keypad is totally firm, but some buttons have stopped responding and one has to push really hard to get any response at all. Hinge smooth and firm.
Alltel V9m: Hinge is a bit weak, keypad is loose and crunchy...

PRINT via BT from phone
I recently purchased the V9m and this is by far the BEST phone I have used ever! I am surprised that no one has commented on one of COOLEST features of this phone... you can PRINT from this phone to a BT capable printer! The ROKR can do this also. US Cellular rocks!

last chance for question!?
SO, returning my Voyager today. Verizon officially shut it off yesterday and turned back on my old Motorola. Already I see the call quality much better!
I am planning on going to get the v9m either today on the way to work or tomorrow on my day off. I am just worried that as soon as I get it, it will become available in other colors or another motorola phone that I like will come out.
Anyone know of a color change for the v9m (I know I've asked already ) or a better motorola phone coming out any time soon?

shamalamadingdong --a question?
You posted that there are other colors for the razr v9m coming out. Where did you read that and do you know specifically when this will be offered?
Sorry to bother you but I have 27 days left on the Voyager before I have to make a decision whether or not to keep it and so far, I can't get used to the muffled sound. I may take it back and try another but so far, the stores are out of stock on it so we'll see.
I've just always had good luck with Motorolas and the only thing stopping me from the v9m is the color of it! Thanks and again, my apologies for posting specifically with your name. Hope you don't mind!

Can u BT to phone on VZW
Just curious if you can send files to your phone via BT, and if you can send files to your computer via BT.
I still have the original Razr that verizon released 2 years ago b4 they turned off this feature. Just curious if they unblocked it again so you can freely send files back and forth.
