Motorola RAZR2 V9m

Just got my Alltel V9m i try and bring up my camera and it says "BUSY, TRY AGAIN LATER" I try and bring up the camcorder and it says "SYSTEM ERROR" any ideas on whats up?? I guess I'm lucky I got the phone working at all. I bought it off ebay from a seller with 100% feedback all he sells is Alltel phones. Needless to say it came in the mail today took it to the store to get it turned on and there was a problem with the HEX number finally got that figured out then the phone wouldn't power on and I was send home like a child for not buying the phone from Alltel directly. After about 4 hours of charging the phone I finally got it to power on and took it back to the store and got it all working or so I thought. Well I got it home and started pla...

I have owned several sanyos (okay), and samsungs (always end up sucking) and I have had Sprint for 8 years...and I have worked in wireless/IT for several years. This is the best phone I have ever owned. Some of the things I did to make sure my phone works. I updated the software. I conditioned the battery and I removed the animated background.

Pros:

1. The most solid feel of any phone I have ever used.

2. Mine has great battery life. I conditioned the battery for four charges and it can always go at least two days without a charge. It's actually the best of any Sprint phone I have owned.

so we have been looking and looking for the water mark on the v9m and we have not been able to find it...anyone have any ideas on where it is?? is it that little bump thats under the sticker?

I've tried all the tricks and still can't get any MP3 ringers on my phone. I've tried changing them to .QCP & then sending via email, but the email never goes through to my phone. I was able to store the file on the card as a sound & then tried to send it to myself so I could save it, but it would only let me save it as a sound and not a ringer. I've tried .MID, .MP3, and .QCP. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My only other alternative is to pay 😡 or take this piece of crap back and go back to my V710 🙂 .

I have a samsung a900 and it doesnt have the feature where it remember words that you use a lot, but i was wndering if the Razr2 had it??

I have a 1gig card in the phone with 10 songs of various lenghts, but the phone only shows 1. What am I doing wrong?

Any chance that they r going to come out w/ firmware to allow you to read texts on the outside??

I have had the V9M for a few days and I noticed that my signal bars are never full (4 bars) even where my other phones had 4 bars of 1x and ev. This phone usually shows 3 bars of 1 x and 2 of ev, do i have a bad phone and should i be concerned?

Is there anyway to minmize the clock on the front so it isnt the whole screen?

Does anyone know how to get free WAP on the verizon v9m? I know I could do it with my old lg vx9800 but i cant get to the service menu on my v9m.

Java for verizon please. I might install alltel firmware but i dont know if it has java.

With the Verizon version, when you press the command button, the audio comes out of the speaker on the back of the phone, not through the ear speaker. The volume of the audio through the back speaker is dependent on the volume level of the ringer, so if you have the phone on vibrate, the volume when the phone says "please say a command" is quite low. Is there a way to have this audio come through the ear speaker?

Testing the phone in the Verizon store, I couldn't figure out an easy way to Capitalize Certain Words in a Text Message. I could only achieve it after many extra keystrokes. What am I missing here? Is there at trick to it that I'm just ignorant of? It's fairly easy to do on my 5 year old Samsung.

I am interested in the new lg 10000 voyager and new venus lg 8800. Does anybody know what the cost should be thanks everyone. 😕

Show me creating a contact and appointment in Outlook and maybe saving a phone number and creating an apointment on the phone and then syncing?

If this works as good as a 5 year old Palm Pilot, that would be awesome.

My phone recognizes the computer and vice versa on bluetooth, but won't stay connected. I have done this with two computers now, both the same. When I can connect, I am unable to open the obex files.
What am I doing wrong.

I find it rather annoying that when u send a text message it only shows up in ur outbox if it goes thru. if it doesnt go thru (i.e. if u dont have service) it seems to get lost, it isnt in ur inbox to allow u to resend it later. has any1 else noticed that?

What a great external display. Too bad it's wasted because, if I've heard correctly, you can't read text messages on the external screen. This feature has been available on the occasional LG since the 8000 (also 8600), and let me tell you, it's really nice. I guess I will stick with my KRZR. 😡
