Motorola Q9m / Q9c

I've been a Verizon customer for years and need to pull the trigger soon on a PDA/Phone. I like the Q9M features (great keyboard, Windows Mobile 6 is much better now..), but I absolutely HATE the red color.

I know some may think this is trite, but I can't get over the red bezel. For this very reason, I'm thinking of either getting a Blackberry world phone through Verizon or switching to another carrier to get a normal business appropriate Moto Q with Win Mobile 6. I prefer to go with the Blackberry and stick with Verizon, but my company fully supports the Q9M with MMS and I'd be on my own with the Blackberry either using the redirector or IMAP.

I am so dissapointed in Verizon. Who in their right mind chose that color in product...

okay so this has me lost, but whats the best way to get custom ringtones on this fone? Ive tried using mobile17.com website, and ive tried having it sent to me via mms. I really would like to know the best way to get ringtones. pelase help!

I am a long time vzw customer w/many buis accounts.Does anybody know if or when vzw will get the q9c. 🤨

It would appear that the q9M is the Superior device here. The q9h feature better battery life, better camera, more internal memory (256 vs 64), and wi-fi. Not to mention that it's a GSM/HSDPA 3.6 device!! Eat your heart out verizon!!

I have two HOW TO questions.... Hopefully I can get some answers.

1. How can you delete Microsoft outlook from
the phone completely? So it doesn't show on
the home page.

2. This maybe on the site already, but how can
you make this phone more speeder from
application to application? I bought a 2Gb
MircSD will this help?

I dont know if there is something wrong with my phone, but sometimes I cant get the keyboard lights to light up. Is there something wrong with my phone or is there a setting i need to fix? please help

What is the largest (mah) extended battery?

I know the Q had one out there that had 3200mah.

The most I have found so far for the Q9m is a 2100mah battery. Is there a larger battery than that?

Can anyone tell me the main differences between this phone and the HTC 5800, besides the form factor and Q9m accessing Vcast music.
Can either of these phones use VZ Navigator?
Can either of these phones use SDIO for wifi?

I have the original Motorola Q and it has not steered me wrong. Only thing is that the battery is not lasting long anymore and I want something that I can EASILY download ringtones without having to change them into mp3s , etc. Does the Motorola Q red/black music have the ability to access GET IT NOW to download ringtones? I just got my Q9m and i absolutely love it! BUt being that im new to Windows Mobile platform, i have a few questions. Is there anyway i can get on to get it now? Also can i take voicenotes during a phone call and record the conversation? does the q recieve pic messages? For some reason i use a website to send myself ringtones and it wont receive the message. Thanks for your help

Im trying to install active sync onto my computer and it says it cant because its locked and needs a passkey. I never gave it a code. So what would the code be?

Sorry but I'm a little slow when it comes to this stuff. But if I buy a Wifi Mini SD card for the Q9m does that mean ill receive wireless internet connection anywhere? Or only where a wireless router is present? thanks

Isn't that the DRM'ed "Apple" format??? So, I can put my iTunes songs on this sucka?

1. I buy micro SD
2. I put micro SD in mini SD in adapter and place in phone
3. I format card
4. I take out of phone and put in PC
5. I rip music to PC from CD using Media Player
5. I save music as WM files on media card in a folder I made named My Music
6. I put card back into phone
7. I update my phone's library
8. No music shows up in library
9. I Open File/Storage Card/My Music and play muic
10. I wonder what I need to do have the music in my Library ??
11. I throw my phone in the sea.

Can this phone be used to tether with sprint? I would have the 500 minute unlimited data SERO plan...bluetooth, wired, or both for tethering?

I noticed quite a bit of you (maybe on accident) have been talking about the Q9c when in fact you meant verizon's version which is the Q9m.. while there isn't a huge difference, it does make it a little harder to understand what it is your talking about if your giving vague details.. thanks guys,
