You CAN adjust the sound

There's a control in the Accessories folder called Audio Enhancement. You can adjust the phone speakers in three categories: Surround Sound, Bass and Clarity. You can adjust all those for the headset, too, plus a control called Speaker Size. These adjustments are surprisingly effective and you can really improve the sound of the music with them.

signal strength

This is the first review I have read which said the signal strength was low. Can this be confirmed by any other users?

Mediocre

Just what one would expect from the combination of Motorola and Win Mobile. Poor signal strength and sluggish performance. Tell my why I would want this phone again.

red border...is that really really necessary?

For the love of god, can verizon just make an all black phone! It's a phone for business users...you dont need a bright red border around the damn thing. it looks ridiculous. sorry for the rant...carry on...

Expected

You kind of have to expect a "so-so" battery life with a phone like this.

When it comes to the laggy processor, they probably just have some left over from the old RAZR and decided to stick them in there.
😛 We all know Motorola has finally upgraded there processors with the new RAZR2 and W490 phones, so it is definately an interesting choice to keep an older, slower processor for the Q9M.

Opera

Can the Opera web browser be downloaded to the Q9M? If so, what are the advantages over IE? Is it faster? Thanks.

Disaster in the Making

😁 Simply put... this is a disaster 👿 in the making. Nothing good can come from this. Wait for the 6800 ( the TITAN ) ... seriously.

Documents-To-Go instead of MS Office?

Just saw a video preview of the Q9m at

http://mobilitytoday.com/articles/motorola_q9m_music ... »

and then went to VZW.com to verify. It looks like DataViz Documents-To-Go is installed on this phone. Doesn't Office Mobile come with WM6 (standard and pro)? Why would the Q9m have a third party application for Office products? Not that I'm complaining, if this is a better product than the native version, then that's good for everyone. I'm just curious as to why....

slow

I tested this today in the local Verizon store. The internet is incredibly slow for EVDO. I do not not know why..maybe its the browser or maybe its the fact that it loads full web versions and not the WAP versions of the pages. In any event..unless that is somehow changed, or if there are settings one can use to speed it up, it would be a show stopper for me.

While in the store I actually compared the internet speed to my LG vx8600 and the palm treo and it was a lot slower than both of those.
