Kyocera Koi KX2

For all of you who complain about battery life of the KX2. Verizon wireless has the extended battery and a cover on the accessories page of the Verizon wireless site.

does anybody know the full price? because i am getting a new phone and i'm breaking my contract so i need to know what the full price is

as posted earlier, when i use vzwpix service to send "mp3" ringtones to my phone, it reboots everytime i try to open the message, despite being recieved successfully via email.

any solutions on how to bypass this quirk and actually save the sound bite as a ringer (without having to pay through GetItNow)?

Just got it in today! i havent had much time to check it out but i after i do i will post my review of it

First off I am not with the 21st century and do not have a cell phone at this point. I have been reading about the koi and I am thinking about going with it....however I have a few questions and if you all would give me your opinions I would appreciate it.

1. What kind of service does Kyocera provide? By this I mean if my phone blows up am I out of luck or is it painless to get a new one.

2. How have Kyocera products treated you in the past?

3. Where the heck can I find this phone? Should it be out nationwide at all Verizon stores? I have had no luck finding it to see and play with.

Has anyone else noticed that the phone takes a REALLY long time to power on?

Also, the animation of the screen savers seems to stagger a lot after the first second it's activated...anyone notice this/know how to fix it?

I'm thinking pretty seriously about getting the KX2 for verizon but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the USB data cable and software from kyocera's site? Does it work with Verizon phones? If it does work, did Verizon disable the part of it that allows pics to be downloaded?

Does Koi have mp3 player

Does anyone know how many different kinds of exterior cases they will release?? I mean, i seen the silver cover online, but I also seen the blue finish.

Im so bummed, I have the Kyocera Soho right now and the battery life and signal sucks and i have 30 days to try it and was gonna exchange it and pay more for the Koi because i have till Dec 3, but dont know what I can do now, maybe cancel and switch to verizon if they arent going to have it.

This phone has been listed as having a half-duplex speakerphone. Does anyone know how does the speakerphone quality sound on both ends compared to other verizon phones with speakerphones.

when i playback a video i record, the volume is wayyyy too low, u have to put the phone by ur ear, and its still bareley loud enough... is there a setting to adjust the volume or are they all like this?>

on my phone i went to take pic with high resolution and it says it can take 40, but mine says only 3 available and i havent take any pics, did i get a bad or used phone.

Ive been reading you can get LCD Protectors for the outside of this phone.

Im just curious if can download real music ringtones for this phone from get it now site or a site over the internet.
Also does it have the capability to get mp3 ringtones.

The Koi has the decoder for mp3 but has been disabled in all applications because of request from carriers I think.

But there is a bug in the software that can be exploited to set an mp3 file as ringtone. Here is how -

You need to of course have subscribed to picture messaging service. You need to email an mp3 file to @vzwpix.com. But, before you do that, you need to change your file name to .mid. Suppose your mp3 file is howard.mp3, you need to rename it as howard.mid. You don't need to do any conversion, just rename. Attach this .mid file to your email.

The phone will download the message and after it finishes downloading, it will give an option to view the message. Select view - of course the sound won't play. Now click options a...
