hey does anyone know if i can use my att sim card in a cingular phone? i want to buy this phone when it comes out, but i want to keep my att plan, is this possible b/c arent they the same company now?

Where's the bluetooth? Is there a reason? I mean the V600 had it, so does the T616, etc..
This seems like the perfect phone except for that 😢

In the December issue of Popular Science magazine, the Sony Ericsson Z500a is adverised on a fold out section between pages 90 and 95, and the ad takes up two full pages. The ad states that the phone is available exclusively at Cingular.

Hopefully this means we will see this phone released very soon.

has any one heard of any other flip phones coming out for cingular besides the z500 and the moto v620?

ok, i know there is someone posting on here that has this phone, so this is directed towards you, lol. are the buttons small and difficult to push? i have a SE T226 and the buttons are tiny. and is there a delay when u push the buttons? on my t226 the stopwatch has a horribly long delay from when i hit stop. thx

Ok, it's obvious that the z500a isn't coming out in November, unless we see it Monday or Tuesday...which signs are pointing to no.

Anyone have more info on a release date, maybe first have of December? Any news, please post.

Just in case anyone wants to know. I went to my Cingular store today and they told me that I can get the phone for $179 then get a $50 mail in rebate. That is for my upgrade, I'm not sure how much it really is.

Also, does anyone know if you can use a memory card to store pictures??

I've read on the specifications that the phone has 6 MB memory...does that mean that there is only 6 MB available for MP3's, pictures, etc.? That would be the only thing holding me back from gettting this phone.

I noticed in the phone info that the screen is a 65,000 CSTN screen. The Motorola v220 had a CSTN screen and the image quality was horrible. Is this, in fact, the same screen?

So much for everybody being sooo sure that it was going to come out this week. Unless Cingular pulls it out in the next couple days (which they usually dont release phones at the end of the week), then we have to continue waiting....

I went in the Cingular store by my house today, and they had a dummy of that and the Moto v620 (pretty hot little phone, actually) out, so I started playing around with them. When the woman there was done with her customer, I asked her when the phones come out. Her exact words were: "It's already come out, but I don't have any in the store. All I have to do is call the corporate office and they will send one over for you."

BUT, I'm a T-Mo customer, and that location doesn't sell phones without a contract. I talked to her about some of their contracts, but I'm not sure when my contract is up with T-Mo.

As far as unlocking goes, this lady told me that if I went to a corporate headquarters they would unlock it f...

😕 Sony Ericsson has removed the coming soon label from the z500a. It as of now does not have any carriers, but I just went on Ebay and you can buy "Cingular" Boxed z500a's for 200-350 dollars. Soooo maybe soon right... Just thought I'd let some people know. 🙂

any one know the difference between a tft screen and a ctsn screen. Which one is clearer?

Can someone please tell me how do you put mp3 on this phone, i have the phone but the book does say how to do it..I have songs on my pc i'd like to put on my phone or use as ringtones
