Motorola RAZR V3

Has anyone noticed that after you save a picture to your phone and then view it again, it looks a lot worse than when it was first captured on the screen? Could this be due to the jpeg compression? Anyway, is there a way to get the phone to save the picture as something else besides JPEG, such as BMP?

Hi -I currently have a Motorols V600, and am not too happy with it (poor reception, dropped calls), and I am thinking of switching to a Razr V3 (Tmobile) - has anyone had both? How do they compare?

I just spoke with a T Mobile representative today and the information he recieved on the phone stated that the phone will have VIDEO CAPTURE on it. Unlike the Cingular version that did not support video capture.

I'm only interested in getting this phone if I can get access to my corp email on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i just got (downloaded) mpt v3.11, connected my razr via usb, and the main reason its not working, i believe, is cause my pc only has a communication port 1!! mpt uses com 3 and com 4 right? is there a way i can enable this? plz help, thanks!

my computer> properties> hardware> device manager> port> only shows com1 and lp1 (for printer)

Hello. I use a Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset with the RAZR V3. I noticed that when I have the headset on and the phone rings, it rings with a normal ringer. However, when the headset is off, it uses the ringer that I downloaded.

Does anyone know of a way to configure the phone to ring with a different type of ringer while using the Bluetooth headset?

Does anyone know how to delete the built in pictures and sounds in the V3. It is kinda annoying having them there.

I have made my decison, and I am going to get a RAZR... SO excited! I have wanted one for a long time!

Anyway, I have car chargers from both a V220 and a V400... will either of these work on a RAZR? Car chargers are kind of expensive, and I am hoping I won't have to buy a new one.

Is it possible to transfer java aps via bluetooth connection? i tried sending a JAR file but cant seem to get it to come up on my phone

i've been playin with the razr most of today... just got a couple more questions:

is the inbox for text messages limited to 30? my e715 had a limit of 30 on the SIM, then an additional.. something like 80 or more... on the phone.

regarding mp3 ringtone, once i cut down the mp3 using mp3cutter, what software do i use to transfer it onto my razr?

overall, it seems storing numbers onto the phone, not the SIM, allows for more features... voice dial, speed dial, number type with icons (home, cell, work, etc). is this true, or am i just missing something?

also, are the 2 buttons on the left of the phone and the 1 button on the right a little bit loose? the buttons work fine, just they are a little bit shaky.

I currently have a really S***ity phone and on august 6 i am can get a new phone. what i want to know about this phone is can u take music off your computer and transfer to your phone to make a ring tone?

i was wondering how do i go about transferring mp3s from my pc to the razr. once i get it hooked up via usb to miniusb cable, is there included software that allows me to compress mp3s? all of my mp3s on my pc are more than 5 mb.. so how would that work?

i just received my razr v3 in the mail today, and i must say its pretty sweet.

i got it with tmobile usa, so i didnt get any software included. in order to transfer mp3s from my pc to my phone, to use as ringtones, what software do i need? im going to go buy a usb to mini-usb cable today, but after i hook my phone up to my pc, what else do i do? if someone could be so kind as to give me step by step instructions or give me a link with a walkthrough, id greatly appreciate it. thanks!

Hey, I have the black euro v3 version and I can't get the internet to work. I want to download some ringtones but the browser won't work. I also tried setting the web sessions setting to cingular's but it still doesn't work. If anyone can help on this issue it would be great!

I currently have an LG 1400, which I am not happy with at all! Sometimes my screen won't even work, but I'm used to the Motorola format anyways, and I kind of miss it. I had the T720, the V220, and the V400... all of those have worked well for me, except the small screen on the V220 drove me crazy. I think I will like the RAZR because it is so similar to the V400.

Should I look into getting a black RAZR or the silver RAZR? Is there a difference, other than the way they look?

I was waiting to see about the Nokia 6102 when it came out, because I was interested in the video capture. But then I heard that I could somehow add video to my RAZR. If I could find a way to do that, then I would definitely buy the RAZR over the Nokia.

I've seen some reviews of the European V3 on the internet, and it seems to come with some nice accessories the US version doesn't - holster w/ swivel clip, data cable, Moto Phone Tools CD, nice box, etc. Anyone know where an American can get a good deal on an unlocked European V3? Thanks...

I should probably go write a review somewhere -- however, thought some of you may like to know (as you contemplate whether or not to purchase), that I have used quite a few cell phones over the past 10 years, my last being the HP IPAQ 6315 (paid retail $600 for it!). Well, the IPAQ is a great PDA, but not real good for a phone -- too bulky and reset is required quite often, plus the battery doesn't last long. Well, I replaced the IPAQ with the RAZR V3 and am quite pleased. Besides the "Beam Me Up Scotty" kind-of-feeling that it gives you, it works quite well. And yes, I agree with some of you who say the address book needs some help. It's a great little phone and I'll keep it until the next generation at least.
