Motorola RAZR V3

I've heard the Motorola RAZR is coming out for the Verizon soon.

Can anyone confirm this? And if so, when is it expected?

I'm a T-Mobile customer and I'm considering getting the Razr... Does anyone have experience with the 5 MB memory on the Razr? I have been reading threads in the Razr forum and people have complained that the memory is too low. I'm not into taking photos or video, so will this be more than enough for me? I mostly send and receive text messages and might download a game or two along with a few ringtones at most...

Also, from reading threads in this forum, some have complained about the slow operating system and problems with the phone book/contacts. Is the OS slow to the point where it causes major issues? And, is there a solution to the phone book issue where you have to save a new contact for each new number even though it is the sam...

Is the only difference the color? The silver unit has been out for awhile now. Did motorola make any software changes to the black unit?

Does anybody know how T-mobiles handhelds will differ than Cingular?

I just bought the new black V3 😁 , and the Cingular salesperson transferred all of my contacts from my old Nokia phone SIM card to my new V3 phone memory. Is there any way to transfer all of the contacts from the V3 phone memory to the new SIM card without manually changing each one? Can anyone offer suggestions?

I just bought a brand new Motorola Razr V3 from Cingular Wireless, and so far the phone is pretty cool. One thing I have noticed is some weird behavior in the battery indicator.
Sometimes I'll have the phone charging all day, and the battery indicator will show that the phone is still at one bar of battery life, and blinking. Sometimes, after showing the phone is fully charged, I'll unplug the phone, and the battery indicator will start blinking with one bar of battery life, much like when it is in the charging mode. I'll look at the menu optioned battery indicator and it will read about a 1/3 full.
Usually when the phone exibits this weird behavior, if you turn it off and back on, it seems to fix this issue.

I go to Fry's electronics last weekend, and I find out Handset Manager now is in Fry's electronics,it is something that can upload MP3 clip or video to your Razr, plus many more other great features!
If you love Motorola, and you want to have your own unique ringtone, wallpaper...this is something you should get for your Motorola.

It's listed this AM at $199 w/ 2 yr contract.

The actual cost the black and silver V3 is the same. Cingular will sell it at $199 on a 2yr. Be wary of someone who sells it for any more than that.

I am using my razr with a Motorola HS820 BT headset. For some reason, when the headset is on and I receive a phone call, my mp3 ringtone doesn't ring, its some standard ringtone. How do I change that? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

I took a dive (hoping for the best) and ordered the RAZR from MSN over the weekend. the deal was for fathers day only.
Razor from Cingular brand new, With Bluetoothe headset (claims it is the $99.00 one) for only $169.00 with a NEW 2 year contract for new customers only. I am switching from verizon when it gets here on thursday..
Anyway the deal is they give you a $170.00 rebate for the purchase.. so it is free as long as I do not fault on my bill at all for the first 6 months and do not try to cancel or move the phone over the 2 year contract etc..

I was leary so I read the fine print about 50 times to make sure I knew what I was getting into.. Anyone else jump at this offer????

I just received all my visual merchandising today for the black razr, so we should be seeing the phones any day now! Still no official announcement on price from cingular though..... But the black one is yet another exclusive... they are dropping the exclusive on the silver one june 30th

can anyone tell me if this is normal on the v3-when i get an incoming call and i flip it open(flip open to answer)my screen is temporaraly white,then goes to normal?is this normal for the phone to do this?

When I go to Web Access> Web Sessions I have a list of service providers. There should be an option to add a new entry but this does not appear.

Any thoughts?

Hi all. I'm just wondering whether it is possible to store/save text messages?
For example, when you're half way through typing out a message?

I use to always save messages even on my old Nokia 6610. It was very handy at times as you had forgot what you were replying to and didn't want to re-type the whole message? I know you can 'cut' and then 'paste' the text back in, but was wondering if this was the only solution?

It's a shame it doesn't also temporarily store the text, if you say, enter into the menu half way through a message.

Hey all ... I'm not sure if anyone can help, however I need to ask because this is already bugging me. I just bought the Motorola Razr (which I love), however everything I read says that I can create shortcuts for all 4 d-pad functions and for the 2 soft keys at the top of the phone. How do I do that? I can't find information on how to create shortcuts to those buttons ... all I can get is a shortcut that I have to hit the menu key and a number. Any information would be greatly appreciated ...
