Motorola RAZR V3

The rounded slit on the front of the v3 below the M is a microphone, correct?? I always thougt it was a thing that glows up when someone calls.

Has anyone had any luck using ATTWS's OTA feature to program the V3?

Which phone did you choose in the list (the V3 is not listed)?

After discovering there was no software with the V3, I downloaded MPT3.11h from BVRP (who wrote the program for Motorola.)

I've since discovered that with a bluetooth connection, you dont need MPT to send music and pics to the phone. But you do need it to download pics FROM the phone, (as well as setting up your phonebook or Outlook.)

The program only supports a "Motorola" Bluetooth USB adapter. I have a Linksys adapter but after two days I did manage to get it all working properly. But when I tried to use it a week later, it would not connect with the phone.

BVRP does not provide tech support and referred me to Motorola support. Talk about a dead-end there. I'm never calling those clowns again.

Am I the only one with this situat...

Does anybody know how to get your web browser to work if you are using a company other than cingular. I bought one and brought it to Canada, everything works but the web browser. It still tries to access the cingular network for internet. Any help?

On the motorola website I thought I saw this phone has MPEG video on it. How come I can not take videos with my phone. I've tried every button. All I can do is take pictures. My cousin's cheap phone can take video, but my $500 phone can't? Thats just wrong. Is there something I need to download?
Also....this darn Bluetooth is worthless. I've tried to connect to my girlfriend's palm Tungsten T for about a month now. I've even gone to Palm.com and downloaded updated bluetooth files....but the V3 wasn't on the list. What gives? I can't set up my Girlfriend's Palm to recognize my phone.

I just spoke with a Cingular rep. who told me that I will need at least one year contract, even if I bring my own unlocked V3, to have service with them. Is this true? If it's so, is it out there any company that doesn't require it.

Have followed the previous posts about the GPRS settings for the razr with a tmobile sim card. yes i have internet and MMS account setup for my tmobile sim card but i still cannot get on the internet with the razr can anybody help? thanks.

After seeing and toying with this phone for a little while I have come to the conclusion that this phone is NOT worth the money at all. It is a thin phone, but pretty wide. It isn't small enough or as "RAZR" thin as one would expect. The features are AVERAGE. The RAZR is not anywhere near as attractive or a "statement maker" as a owner of this phone would like (to impress others). especially not for $500 dollars...seriously, for that amount of money you don't get any special packaging or accessories or even that cool of a phone. I recommend sticking w/your current phone or paying the $150 bucks for a phone that is not as wide and not too much thicker w/ the SAME FEATURES and perhaps taking the extra $350 and put that towards something mor...

The net is that he tried to use the insurance on his V3 and was denied...

I just got my Cingular branded V3 and I noticed on the box it says that the color display only goes 'up to' 65k. On Motorola's website it says the display will go up to 260k, which one is right?!? Did the U.S. version get stuck with a 65k display while Europe/Hong Kong get the 262k display??

Three q's to help me switch to this phone.

1. I'm an ATTWS customer with a Treo600 so I don't use Mmode e-mail. How easy is the Razr to set up multiple POP3 e-mail accounts with my personal e-mail accounts (att.net)?

2. I used to have a T720 but have been accustomed to looking at any web page I want with my Treo. How's wap browsing these days. last time I had it, it was slow and not many pages we around.

3. I'm used to Moto's phone book, but I saw the v3 has that 3D Java phonebook. How good is it? Easy to use and can it be assigned a shortcut to replace the regular phone book.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried mating the V3 with a Bluetooth keyboard, such as the ThinkOutside Stowaway. Any ideas about whether or not this would work?

Does anybody know if Moto is planning a variant of the V3 that is a cdma model. I have verizon right now, and love the network. I have a friend that has cingular, and he says that the network isn't that great compared to veriozn. I emailed moto about this, but got no response.

Does anyone else's Razr V3 screen keep flickering? At first I thought it was a battery problem b/c i just go the phone. But even after it's fully charged, the screen keeps flickering (dim, bright, dim). Is this a brightness problem or do I need to get it fixed?

Mine says my device is not compatible. this is BS. My V600 downloaded it with no problem. this must be another "DEAL" cingular made that no one wants.

Is the cingular service improved at all? And, does this phone have voice digit dailing?

Hey, Ive had my razr for 3 days now but there are some things ive noticed.

1. First off, its slow. There is def a delay time with going to menus. Its not too bad at all, but it is noticable.

2. The screen (since its so prone to fingerprints and such) gets an imprint of the buttons on it. Its not like an indent, more like just a fingerprint kind of.

3. The send and end call button (the green and red ones) appear to be fading out in certain areas. Whats up with that?

I think my phone may have been used before because the packaging looked like garbage when I first recieved it, so Im going to talk to the Cingular store tomorrow.

P.S. Is there a ringer ID option in the phone? And is that something they can add on in a firmware...

ok, i don't know if this is normal or if it's just me. I have a mp3 ringtone downloaded and it works great when the phone is alone, but when it's paired/bonded with my hs820 bluetooth headset, the mp3 ringtone doesn't work, nor does any good ringtone, it just defaults to "conntinental" which sux, is this normal? Oh by the way, it's the same with alarms/notifications, any sound just defaults to crap. Please help
