Motorola RAZR V3

Hi there,

I would like to add some pauses and such when my phone calls my voicemail number so when I'm driving I don't have to enter my password.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I really want the get this phone and prices have started to come down with a contract, however, the only thing keeping me from purchasing it is the fact that Lock/Line won't insure it. I am careful with all of my belongings, especially ones as pricey as the RAZR, but accidents are known to happen. Did the rest of you guys have a hard time justifying the purchase of this phone due to the lack of insurance issue?

I have a question on my phone. If I have my V3 off, and I recieve a call (from someone I dont know) and the person leaves a voicemail, how can I get the number that they called from? I know how to get the time, but my friend left me a "Call me back at this number" and I cant find the number. It doesnt show up under recent calls, and I dont know how to get it in voicemail. Thanks!

If you backup your phone numbers on the SIM card (as well as your phone memory),
is it possible to only view phone entries in your phone memory rather than viewing duplicates of each name (phone memory + sim card)?

Has anyone heard anything about a dashboard mount or cradle for the V3? Is Motorola planning to release one anytime soon? Last time around with the V600, you had to buy the whole handsfree car kit just to get something decent to hold the phone - same song went with Sony Ericsons phones... I really need a cradle for the car and the Universal Cradles are all so bulky and awful -

😡 I have a V3 and it's little more than a fashion accessory. Sure, I don't expect it to be as functional as a PDA, but it should at least be a phone! I can't even program a calling card number into it! I phone internationally more than I do locally, and I can't even make use of this functionality that I've had in my 6 year old Ericsson, my 4 year old Motorola and even my cr@ppy LG that came free with my Sprint contract (!!) Maybe it's a subtle drive to force us to use ATT/Cingular's international rates, but it should at least have full functionality as far as a phone is concerned!!

The PIM functionality also sucks, and synchronization with Outlook is sketchy even after I shelled out an additional $50 for the software that the comes free ...

The picture called ID that shows up in the internal screen when I receive a call fron someone is very small. Anybody knows if this is normal ?
How to make the picture shows up as the whole screen ?

I noticed my V3 charger also works with my Blackberry (Blueberry) model. Anyone know if this could potentially harm my blackberry?

Anyone here know anything about the GSM AT command set for the V3? In particular, the AT+COPS cammands? The command "AT+COPS?" works, but the one I really care about, "AT+COPS=?" returns an error.

This is suppose to be a standard command, but it also fails on the V551...

So I am disappointed to find out that the V551 that I sell at my store has more skins/themes than the Razr V3 that I won in the Motorola contest... 😕
Anyway, does anyone know how to find and download new skins? I like the techno one for the V551 specifically. I've never done anything this complicated on my phone, and I'm a little bit nervous about messing something up with the software on the phone...

Does anyone know how i can change the address book settings? If I have more than one phone number/email for the name it lists it as a separate entry, that makes the address book quite long to sift through!

how do u get from 1 name, 2 numbers= 2 entries to 1 name, 2 numbers= 1 entry?

I will be calling them tomorrow. If they say no, I will be returning the phone back to Cingular and go to Nextel (i860). Eventually by January, no later than February the price to the V3 will be going down once the MPx PDA hits the market.

Looking to sell my Motorola V3 w/ Bluetooth headset (HS810). Includes box, with original accessories, and manual. Less than 10 hrs lifetime calls, excellent shape. Only reason I'm selling is b/c I want to buy a new Fender bass. Please contact matthew.bush@cingular.com w/ any questions.

Anyone else has/had trouble setting up email? I followed all of Cingular's instructions, but my email on my phone still doesn't work. I even tried using another email's host (i.e. gmail, messenger express) b/c Cingular said that might work better, but it doesn't. I wanted to be able to check my other email account on my phone. The Cingular customer service woman was questioning whether it's my phone that's faulty. I've already exchanged it once, i doubt it's faulty. Help!

I like my new V3 very much, but Motorola and Cingular are making it difficult for me to enjoy my whole switch from Verizon. My two cents:
1) Early reports on this forum page mentioned some very nice packaging for the V3, with an aluminum case, accessory cables, etc.. My phone came in a traditional plain Jane box, with the bare bones essentials, dumped into the bottom of the box. With all the fanfare for this phone, I would have thought some creative (impressive) packaging would have been in order. I remember some of my earliest iPod purchases, and how impressive I thought their packaging was, with clever little places for all the accessories, software, and cables. I guess Motorola and or Cingular decided to make an additional 10 bucks ...
