Using RAZR as Wireless Internet Connection for Laptop...

I'm sure this can be done, but I just don't know how to set it up.

I have the cables between my phone and laptop.

Does anyone have any idea on how I can connect my laptop to the internet via the RAZR V3?

When I am traveling with my laptop, I want to be able to connect to the internet via my phone.

Thanks,
Scott

Up Key and Menu key

I've noticed that the up arrow key (up key on that round directional thingy) and also the menu key have a lot less of a spring to them than the rest of the keypad buttons. Also, once when I was scrolling through the phonebook, I pushed up and I think it kind of got stuck or something, because it just kept on scrolling, even after I released the button. It hasn't happened since then.. but I was just wondering if others have experienced this problem, or at least noticed a difference in the way these two buttons feed-back.

ISP vs WAP on Cingular

The verbage I have read (devicesoftwaresettings.pdf from Cingular Developers Site) indicates that we should be using ISPDA@CINGULARGPRS.COM to utilize GPRS speed on cingular. My V3 came set up as WAP@CONGULAR.COM. I have not successfully been able to log on with the ISP settings...

Question 2: For use with my bluetooth PDA, I am still only successful when using WAP and *99#. Do the *99***2, 3, etc reflect the other web sessions set up under Settings\Web Access\Web Sessions? Mine are Media.Net, MMS, (add new).

Using V3 on T-Mobile

I bought a V3 from a general cell phone retailer. Apparently they come unlocked from Cingular. I paid no Cingular contract and just dropped my T-Mobile SIM card in and it worked like a charm. No magic to it.

hs-850 vs. hs-820

Is there a significant difference between the two? Or are they pretty much the same. Thanks

moto hs 850 headset

Is anyone familiar with the 850 headset? It doesn't appear to be for sale in the US yet. Dealers are only taking preorders.

Holster

Greetings,

Check out the link below, and let me know your thoughts. To me, it seems as though this holster would attach right near the battery.

Looking at my V3, i really don't see any other way for a Holster to work, unless they have it attach near the camera.

I Found Leather Cases !

Today I did a search for the hell of it looking for a case. I went to Google and put in V3 leather case. I got to a couple of websites who had the cases in stock. I order 1. I cost about $22 bucks. Not bad. Thought I would pass that along.... 😁

Is this a good Deal?

I have a chance to buy a RAZR V3 from a Cingular retailer for $400. He has used it for 3 weeks and it is in perfect condition. He will sell it to me as new with a full warranty. He will also do a one year contract and throw in a car charger. Should I go for it or should I buy brand new? Amazon.com has it for $369 after rebates, but can't get the family plan through them.

V3 & HTML Sites

Is it possible to view Html sites with this phone and if so how? In other words, if you have a specific site you want to visit where/how do you select that?

I am really interested in getting into my corporate email account which isn't wap.

Thanks!

V3 on AT&T ordered thru NBO

I ordered this phone today on AT&T through national business ordering and will have the unit on Monday. Some questions for those who have it on AT&T already: does the phone come unlocked or will I need to SIM unlock it? Sound/signal quality improved over v600 (my current phone)? General impressions? Or is it the v600 all over again plus twice the price?

Like the swivel clip

I got on ebay, it was about $8 to my door and arrived in about 4 days. I purchased it from a member called shop.cell in Brooklyn NY.

The clip fits great. At first I thought it didn't but the outside color display faces you, which is great because the front will not get scratched if you bump up against stuff like I do. That also protects the camera lens. Phone seems very secure and suits my needs.

over in the "MotoSummer 2004" discussion:

Wha' happened to the V600?

Last night, my V600 was lost or stolen. I went to get it replaced at Cingular, and they told me it was no longer carried. I just got the phone 2 months ago. They said Moto discontinued it because of problems. Since I had the replacement insurance (I didn't remember buying it, but okay ... I thought), I figured I would be able to somehow get an equivalent replacement. They told me they did not have any V600s in the system and I would have to settle for the non-Bluetooth V400. Anyone know what is going on with this phone? Thanks!
