LG MM-535

I recently aquired a mm-535 and it was doing great... it would shut off and then back on again out of no where. This didn't bother me too much, due to the fact that it always turned back on and was just fine. But, it has now shut off and when it turned back on it froze up at the Qwest screen. It at first is kinda glitched out lookin' and the button lights arent on, then the lights go on and the Qwest screen looks normal. But that is where it stays. I have tried all i can think of and I just cant figure it out. Any help would be great!

So, I know that a 1 GB card will work in this phone...but I'm greedy. Has anyone tried a 2 GB card? I'd really rather do this than get an iPod.

I just have a quick question, I going to a Mini SD card for playing Mp3's but I was wondering if I can use the mini SD card to transfer picture of the phone to my computer, that's after I have bought the mini SD card and then took pics on the phone. Is there away to save your pics to your mini SD card >? Thanks for the Help.

I just bought this phone few days ago
and I had some questions to ask:

1. Why does this camera seem to lag whenever I take pictures? (shutter sound waaay after I press 'capture') (or is it just mine..?)

2. After you take the picture, there's a preview of the photo that you just took. Why does that look different from the photo album?

This is my first cam. phone I've ever gotten so Im not sure if every cam. phone does this.
If this happens to you guys too, are there anyways to fix this problem?

Is it possible to silence the shutter sound on the LG MM-535?

I can't find anything on the subject, and the local Telus dealers have a waiting list (which I'm on) for the arrival of the first 10 phones. I get a strange look when I ask the question, does this phone have dependant, or independant voice dialing?

I've had my 535 for nearly 2mos. now, & am COMPLETELY frustrated with trying to use the (supposed) MP3 player. I have the MiniSD card, a reader/writer for it, and have loaded MP3's onto the card. I cannot get them to play. I cannot even find any way to get them to play.

I saw in an earlier thread where someone recommended another user go to Menu>Settings> Mini SD Card & format the card. I tried that but there is NO Mini SD dialogue offered on my Settings!!! When I go into Media Player, all it offers me is a chance to buy useless streaming video stations; there is no way I can find to simply access what is already on my Mini SD card.

was wondering if anyone knew why the picture quality was a little bad when viewing the pics from the card.

I just got my LG 535, and I wanna know a few things:

Is it possible to overwrite the phone configuration file so that I will have the option of always keeping the backlight on?
How can you set an MP3 as a ringtone?
How can you set one of your downloaded vids as a video ringer?

I've been searching for these answers EVERYWHERE, I would be really grateful if somebody could help me out..

Have a few questions regarding this phone:
1) Have the battery concerns been addressed at all with newer phones (I see most of the chatter about poor battery life occurred back in July/Aug 2005)?

2) I read somewhere that MP3 playback suffers because you have to manually advance each song you want to hear. Is this true? That would be truly annoying if you're relaxing to some tunes and have to advance to the next song each time 😕

3) How does the battery life fare when playing MP3's...does it zap the battery? For example, sitting on a plane listening to a dozen songs or so...is it dead by the time you get off the plane?

Do any of you know if there is a way to take off that annoying message when your text messages get close to 50. It says your inbox is x% full you should delete some messages. But yet when you get to 50 it automatically deletes the last one anyone. Its annoying... does anyone know a way to stop that?

I need to know where to buy a product that allows me to plug my minisd into the usb port on the computer to download videos and music and also do I have to convert my video, music, pics files on computer to play on the phone. I think I know the answer to this you can not take a video, music and use the as screen savers

I came across a fantastic program called AVS Video Conversion 4.1 it took a dvd and converted the files with no effort and it plays great on my phone. I only have the demo which displays information across the screen but unless someone has a better program I may end up getting it. Let me know

Hello, being new to using my 535 and just ordering my MiniSD I am curious as to what I can do with it. I understand I can save my videos and photos and play Mp3 but are there other things I can do? If so please tell me what and how. Also can I upload new ringers, games, from it?

i bought a 256 mb Mini sd card today, it fits in the phone perfectly, i used the scandisk transfer thing that plugs into the USB and added a few songs...i put the card in the phone....and i get this "MP3 directory or contents file do not exist"

the card type is ATP MINI SD (with adapter)
