GPS Mapping Software?
I'm looking for some advice on what mapping software to purchase for use on my SMT 5600 smartphone. I've ordered the bluetooth GPS rcvr already, but not sure on the software. Anybody have any thoughts on this, or using software they love (or hate)? I will be using this set-up mostly for "on the fly" driving directions to locations around the State of Michigan. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Considering SMT 5600 - Can I Use as Modem?
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on this phone and switching from Verizon to Cingular (mainly because of this hardware). I played with it the other day at my local Cingular outlet, and really liked the way it felt & operated.
One issue that's real important to me is the ability to use the phone as a modem for my PC. It's not frequently needed, but when I have downtime in an airport (one that doesn't have free wireless), or get stuck in some hotel that doesn't provide service, my phone must be my link with my PC to email, etc. I don't want to do email on the phone - I need to use it as a modem for my notebook PC.
I've searched thru this forum, and there was one or two refernces to doing this, but I need to be sure. Can it act a...

Storing e-mail on SD Card
I just got a 512MB mini-SD card for my SMT5600 because I can't getting the low-memory alerts. When I synch to my Outlook, it just absolutely clogs up all the memory. Does anyone know if the Outlook Inbox can be directed to the storage card and NOT the internal memory? Thx.

New User, 2 questions re: BT and GPRS
I just bought my phone yesterday. Overall, very pleased with functionality...
Two questions, your help is appreciated:
1) I've paired by phone with a BT headset (Motorola). It works great, as long as I set the phone's BT setting to "ON" or "DISCOVER". Do I have to have BT on to get the wireless headset to work? I'm wondering of there is a way to program a hotkey or shortcut to enable BT on the phone, so I don't have to go through the multiple keys to enable BT everytime I want to use the wireless headset.
2) When I open Internet Explorer, everything works fine. I get a small icon in the upper-right corner of the screen (where the signal strength is) that also shows a small letter "g". The manual says the "g" means that the GPRS sess...

Bluetooth question
How do you send a contact, picture, etc. via bluetooth? For instance, when viewing the picture there is a send option. Within the send option there is MMS, email, and beam. Shouldn't bluetooth be an option in there? Similarly, when viewing a contact there is only an option to beam a contact, not to send via bluetooth. I used to have the Sony Ericsson T616 and these bluetooth options were very easy to perform.

Airplane mode
Anyone know if there's a way to put this into airplane mode? I don't think the whole FAA/FCC relaxing thing is going to be done with by this August when I'm flying to Washington, so I'd really like to use the mp3 player in my phone.

How do I enter punctuation
I just got an unlocked 5600, and it works fantastic, except that I can't figure out how to enter punctuation. On my other phones, when I would cycle through text entry modes (abc, 123, T9, etc), one mode would be punctuation, but that doesn't seem to the case on the 5600. So how do I enter punctuation?
Thanks,
Erick

SMT5600 Internet usage
So I ordered my Audiovox SMT5600 from Cingular and am receiving it in the mail tomorrow morning and I was wondering a few things about the internet on the phone. I had the Motorola MPx220 before and I know that the phone has a full HTML browser and all of that good stuff but I was wondering about pricing.
From Cingular you have to get the Unlimited PDA data package for $40 a month for all PDA/Smartphones to get internet access, but I was wondering if you could get the $20 Unlimited MEdiaNet package and have it work. I work for Cingular and from all the data meetings I've went to they've told me no, but I don't see why it won't work. Has anyone tried this or is anyone doing it now? I'd much rather pay $20 a month then $40 for the same thi...
