Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557

Does anyone have a link to an easy tutorial for uploading games to a v551? I have windows xp home with service pack 2. Is it possible to upload games via bluetooth, or does it have to be done with a usb cable?

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I've never used a motorola phone before and I'm thinking of possibly getting the v551. I know the external display on the phone shows the time, but is it also a caller ID that says the name and number or one or the other or neither? I was just curious. Thanks!

When I start up MPT-3.11 with the Bluetooth connect, this message "Phone Image Not Available" appears and stays on the on the MPT phone screen.

Does anybody know what this "Phone Image" is and why is it not available?

Is transferring mp3's from my laptop to my phone via bluetooth free, or does it require my phone to use the internet thus costing the 1cent per kilobyte rate?

does MPT3 let you take off the sounds and images that have the locks on them? or is there any orther way to get rid of them at all... if so how? any info would be great, thanx in advance!

I just got my V551 and wonder if it is possible to apply a ringtone to an individual person or a category of people, so i can distinguish whos calling. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a few questions about this phone.

1) I have the video length set to maximum, yet and still the camera won't record as long as i want it to. The length is always random. Once I got 1 min 4sec, another only 28sec. both times it stopped before I was ready. What's up with that? I would like to be able to record as much as I want (within reason) or at least know that I'm on a time limit!

2) I find that at the end of the videos the playback freezes. The sound keeps playing but the last like 5 seconds of video are frozen. Why is that?

3)How can I send pictures and e-mails to my friends? Do I have to buy the USB & CD-rom? Or is there another way?

I have a v400 and wanted to know if anything has changed such as:

1. Ive heard that the camera isnt that clear. My v400 takes good pics for a phone w/o a flash.
2. Has the ringtone volume increased and, not that it matters, does this phone still have a 24 chord poly speaker or a 2 chord.
3. Are the videos decent? And what is the FotoFun editor.
4. For those who are in areas w/o EDGE is the gprs connection fast?
5. And how good is the speakerphone?

i just had a question that i didnt even realize. my moto v551 only allows about a 5 second recording when i want to send it to another persons phone or email. is everyone elses phone like this or am the only one with a defect?

I am trying to transfer between my PC and my V551 the two devices find each other and connect...but I cannot get the file to transfer...when I attempt to connect to send the MP3 it tells me its discovering services...then it says failed to discover...yet I successfully paired the two devices up...any help here would be greatly appreciated....By the way I am running my bluetooth through my pc using the logitech bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo

I am considering a V551 but I have also been looking at the Verizon LG4500. The thing I like about the LG4500 is the speaker independent voice recognition of contacts. Specifically with the 4500 it is possible to voice dial a contact without pre recording a voice tag. Obviously if you have hundreds of contacts and you want to voice dial any one of them this is a real time saver. Several sites reviewing the V551 indicated that it also has the feature but when I went by and saw one last night it seemed to work pretty much exactly the same as my V400 (i.e. you have to pre-record the tag).

Does anyone have any idea why the reviews would have thought this capability exists?

Is there some way to change the goofy intro and exit messages? I hate seeing "Be Safe" and would like a personal intro. Is this something that requires MPT3?

One of the very few things that I am uncertain about is the Cingular button (to access the web) right above the green call button. Has anybody had the problem of constantly accidentally pressing the Cingular button since it is so close to the call button?

does the picture ID cover the hole interal screen when someone calls? and how many mintues of video does this phone get i have heard 5 sec 20 sec and 15 sec which one is ture?

My wife and I both have V551 phones and use MPT-3 to sync our phone books/calendars. Is there a way to download files to one phone via MPT-3 then switch over to the other phone and download without having to exit and re-start MPT-3?

anyone able to access hotmail with this phone on cingular?

Just successfully got my PDA (hp 2215) hooked up to my new v551 in order to surf the internet. It just seems to be a lot slower than I expected.

Is there anyway for me to tell definitively if I am on an EDGE network or not? I'm in Staten Island, NY.

my cousin owns thihis phone, and he is wondering how you can tranfers your pictures into your computer and vice versa, and can u transfer songs from napster and put them into your phone?
