has anyone successfully configured bluetooth connectivity with Windows XP SP2?

i recently bought a Belkin Bluetooth adapter (F8T003). i tried installing the driver but i didn't work. so i went to www.belkin.com to download the driver. the driver and services was installed properly (note: driver not approved by Microsoft), however it could not find my Motorola cellphone.

the built-in bluetooth driver that came with my laptop could find the phone but the only services it could find is a DialUp! (no synch, no ftp, etc...).

it's very frustrating to set this up. it took me hours but still no luck. i appreciate if anyone out there could help me figure this out. e.g. what Bluetooth adapter, driver are you using and how did you set i...

would like to know if this phone has an address book for addresses and is data cable friendly to upload and download on a computer?

So I tried to do the primary thing but I thinki it may not work on my phone. I can't seem to add additional # to a entry which the phone was suppost to have 4 per entry!!!

I got the v600 when it first came out and as with many people had problems. It sucked, tons of dropped calls, so I had it exchanged. I got a new v600 with an updated software package which fixed most of the bugs. I still have a few dropped calls but not nearly as many as before. With that in mind i've heard nothing but good things about the v551, including better reception. So should I update again or should I stick with what I've got?

Hello! I'm curious about some things on the v551 and have surfed the forum and still have questions. Please answer any and all you can.

1- Speakerphone: I read somewhere that you can now activate the speakerphone before the call is connected (unlike in v400 where you had to wait for it to connect, i.e. the person answer, and then activate it, which sometimes took a few seconds and I've had ppl hang up on me before I could talk). Is this correct? You can tell it to dial using the speakerphone function? I hope so..should've been this way from the beginning on the v400, etc.

2- Battery life: I read different posts and get different answers. Some say it last less than 24 hours, some several days with heavy use. What gives? Does it...

I have visited several websites that review the v551 and some of them mention that the 551 has a built-in photo editor. I have the 551 and cannot find anything on my phone titled Fotofun editor. All I can do is adjust the light before taking a pic or video and resize the pic. Am I missing something here? Is this the so called fotofun editor?????

Just left the Cingular store where they told me in Dec. they are offering 10 channels to watch on the 551 for $10 per month! I swear this phone does everything but cook my dinner!

I tested out taking a video recording yesterday and the phone would only allow ten second chunks of video to be taken.

Does anyone know how to change this setting so that I can take much longer videos?

i have about lost my nerve. i think it may be my error. whenever i go to my address book i have duplicate listings for each entry on my sim card. i think i did this by copying these to the phone but how can i only have the phone list showing and not the sim list?

since i have no bluetooth, yet, i was considering making my own ringtones.

so does anyone have a website with directions on how to make your own ringtone on the V551? maybe even a website with some songs listed and the songs notes?

Has anyone successfully figured out MPT and this phone with xp SP2. Im having so many problems its rediculous. Its driving me nuts. I am now to the program seeing the phone but when it says to enter the pin and i do on the phone it doesnt pair up. Any help would be appreciated. Should i just go out and buy a dang usb data cable. ☹️
