When can we see the Treo 650 at T-Mobile?
Thanks,
...
No one seems to know. Maybe we should all switch to Spint. It's annoying that the T-Mobile people are all clueless and no one can give an official date. My company is going to switch to Sprint if someone can't give an estimated release date soon.
...
Soon after the GSM model of the Treo 650 is released...
🙄
Remember it has to be the GSM version for it to work on T-Mobile or Cingular/ATT..
...
OK. So that's a typically lame, weasle answer. When (what precise date is the Treo 6500 available to T-Mobile)? "Soon after" doesn't cut it.
When (a precise date, please) will T-Mobile make the Treo 6500 available to its customers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
ANSWER ME WITH A SPECIFIC DATE OR MY COMPANY SWITCHES TO SPRINT1
...
Chill out. Folks really lose perspective when it comes to phones. Threatening to switch won't make PalmOne/GSM carriers test the GSM Treo 650 any faster man.
Sheeeesh. 🙄

Us T-Mobile types (me too) will have to wait. If you can recall the agreement between PalmOne and Sprint, (made when the Treo 650 was finalized and approved by the FCC); Sprint would sell the phone exclusively until the first quarter of 2005. Most definitely Sprint paid big bucks for this power play and it results in a scenario similar to a toy store that attracts Christmas gift shopping customers with a limited time exclusive on a hot new gaming system. We've all seen that move before.

if your company would switch phone companies because of availability then you should look for a new job. your company isn't going to be around long.

The treo 650 won't be available for T-Mobile for 3 additional months. The release of the Treo 650 for Cingular was officially on February 7th 2005 Cingular bought exclusivity for the GSM/EDGE version of this device for 3 months just like Sprint did with their CDMA version. Sorry to say this but T-Mobile won't have this verion available until the beggining of May.

Ok, May 9th and still no comment from T-Mobile about the 650. I do not want to buy an unlocked T650. I want the insurance (even if the price is going way up). I am considering switching back to Sprint for this phone. 👿
...
Whatever you do, you don't want to drop T-Mobile over the exclusivity of a cell phone. They take their time testing----don't go back to Sprint, save yourself!
...
Yes, you do want to drop T-Mobile. Their coverage sucks. That's a lot of BS on your comment the testing. The treo phones have been on the GSM technology for several years and it's proven to work. I guess it must be the inferior phone company.

Is it true that the 650 will come to T-Mobile? Its just a matter of when? I also heard that it must be the GSM version to work on T-Mobile's network instead of CDMA. Is that true and if so what would that mean feature-wise? I know Sprint's 650 is the CDMA version. Would T-Mobile customers miss out on anything if they have the GSM version? Anyhow, whats the skinny on T-Mobile getting the 650? Exactly when?
...
The GSM version of the 650 is slated to arrive 1st quarter 2005. We should know something by say, March or April 2005. T-Mobile operates on GSM. I have a strong feeling that they'll have the 650. KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!! 😁

I am thinking about switching from Verizon to T-Mobile if T-Mobile gets the Treo 650. Is it likely that T-Mobile will get this phone now that you can order it for Cingular/AT&T service from the PalmOne website?
