That's the only "symbol" key I cannot get to work. And unfortunately, I need it to enter certain passwords for IM/email/etc. Any suggestions? I'd use itap on the front panel but I cannot use the apps I need to from the the front panel.

How are you charged when you use Mobile IM (AIM/YAHOO) messengers?

Is it part of the messaging IN package or are you charged for each incoming/outgoing IM?

If so, what are your thoughts comparisons?

hey guys, im new to the forum and i just got a quick question, hopefully someone can help me out with it. i just got my 9800 and im having a hard time setting up wireless sync for it. i followed the directions for or at least i thought i did but when i go to sync it up its saying authentication error, is there anyone out there that can help me set this thing up? it would be most helpful, thanx B

Hello, Is the LG VX9800 compatible with Mac's isync. I have all my contacts on my laptop from my old treo and I'm trying to avoid manually entering them on the new 9800. Any suggestions?

Is there a way to take self-portrait pictures on the 9800? I hope so although it doesn't look as though there is.

Have seen alot of questions and replies about what is or is not needed and the costs involved. So wanted to toss out some answers since there is a good bit of confusion and/or wrong answers in the posts. With the 9800 you basically have two options,.. (sorry if these are "old news" but I haven't seen a complete post yet with 100% correct details so wanted to post one up for you)

1. Wireless Sync with Vcast = 19.99 + 15.00 per moth. With this combo you get unlimited and the client is in mobile web! The 19.99 covers your WS and the 15.00 covers your unlimited mobile web usage.

2. Wireless Sync with no Vcast = 19.99 per month + mobile web. The WS as a stand alone and your syncing and emails counts as MOU against your plan allowance.

Has anyone figured out how to put videos on this phone? I tried by using MPEGABLE and converting an mpg to an mp4 selecting the encoding profile of 3GPP compliant, but when I put it on my mini sd and try to play it on my phone, I only get the audio...no video.

Yes i know this has been gone over but i don't get to visit this site that often. What version of bitpim works for the 9800? The version i have you need to select what phone your using and "other CDMA phone" doesn't work my 8100 worked fine once i downloaded the driver but iv'e seen posts on here with people saying they've used bitpim and thier 9800's already. Any help would be awesome thanks

I recently added some more songs to my mini sd card and when I put it back into the phone and went to the MP3 player the it said initializing and then the phone turned off and turned itself back on...

hey guys I am getting my vx8100 in the mail on monday, but I will be more then happy to wait an extra week or two, if the vx9800 is going to have a price drop soon, I would really really love to have this phone as I text message like crazy, but I dont want to pay that much money for it! please let me know even if you think it will go down!

Hello does anyone know how long it takes until they put more ringtone options on the get it now service. The only one I have now under real tones are the verizon tones and I don't want that cause the sony music box are twice as loud. Thanks

I have several numbers that I do not what to be visible when "others" user or take a look at my phone....I cant seem to find a way to lock out just one number...is it possible?
