LG V VX-9800

I just got my vx9800 two days ago. my last phone which was the lg mm535 had major battery issues so i want to make sure i do the right thing with this battery. When i got the phone i charged it up all the way and then used it until it ran out. i figured this would calibrate the battery correctly. can anyone tell me if i am wrong?? i usuall plug my phone in to charge every night even if it is not all the way dead...is that bad for the battery?? should i let it run out all the way then charge back up all the time???

any suggestions would be great.

is there anyway to email pictures from my computer to my phone for use as wallpaper? i used to be able to do that on my old phone, but i can't seem to be able to get it to work on this one.

You're the best one here and I needed that stuff to convert dvds and other video files to be compatible with the V. I've read most of the threads, but I would appreciate if you can send me the sites for all the downloads I'm gonna need to fully use this phone. Thanks for answering most of my questions already.

I can take the miniSD from my 8100 & look at the pictures on my PC, but with my husband's CDM 8940 the pictures have to be sent to my phone & then taken off (or e-mailed).

How in the world do you save a vcast clip? I was able to save a funny News story back in the winter time but here lately there is no option to save clips. I wanted to save some performances from the Mtv VMA's too and there was no way to save them either.

I know this topic came up many times in the past. But Im still having a really hard time getting my personal ringtone on my phone. I've downloaded bitpim and followed the direction from the past thread. The biggest problem Im having is detecting my phone. I have verison t98vzv05 on my phone. Do I need to reflash my phone with the older version software? Can anyone please help me? Thanks in advance!!!

is there anyway that i can use bluetooth to send any pictures or anything else it seems the only thing you can do with this phone with the bluetooth feature is send a vcard?

I was supposed to have a 9800M However Verizon sent me a Regular 9800 instead(only found that out on my 3rd trip to Cust support). Now on my 3rd trip the tech said that if he flashes my phone with the latest hardware all my ringtones will not work anymore because they are in MP3 format. The phone will only read wma??? I have been using BITPIM to upload my ringtones. Is the Tech Right? Can someone who has gone thru this process give information otherwise.
Also if I get this to work. How do you guys upload songs to your phone?? Most of my music is in MP3 or ACC format.

My roommate has the 9800. We have tried three headsets; Logitech, Plantronics, and Iogear. It seems that none of them let him pick up the call. If he answers the call from the phone, he can transfer it and everything is OK. He can end calls on all of them. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

I've got a V, and it's cool. There are 2 ringtones downloaded, and 1 is applied to the mobile # of my girlfriend.

But when she calls, it gives me "name" mobile calling...

What do I change to make the ringtone work when she calls me?

The inside screen gets scratched because dirty gets under the hinge, and when I close the phone the bottom of the inside screen has scratches all along it.

Anyone have this same issue?

Hi, I got the Vcast Music kit and tried plugging in my phone to the pc. Nothing happens. I took it to a buddys house and as soon as I plugged it in, worked fine. I tried the usb port it works fine, anything else I plug in, is recognized. Just the phone is not. Please, anyone ever ran into this?

My roommate got his 9800 about two weeks ago. He gets an error when he tries to do something with ringtones through the file system. The error says, phone has blocked access to the specified file or directory. There is nothing that bitpim can do to get access as the block in on the phone itself. These blocks are usually because the carrier wants customers to upload content via their service rather than using a program like bitpim." Anyone have any solutions for this.

Also, when he uploads his contacts, Bitpim cuts the "Note Area" to 32 characters, even though the phone allows 60 characters. Any solutions for this?

I have mobile web 2.0 enabled on my phone for the 5.00 monthly fee but when i emailed verizon they said it was a billable feature and used up my airtime(minutes). Does that mean I can use it without being billed for my minutes after 9 since i have free nights and weekends?
