LG V VX-9800

As if we didn't have enough to look forward to with the pending release of the 9900. Does anyone have any additional information on this. Considering Sept 4th is less than a week away, how likely is it that this phone will be in stores by then? There has been no advertising for it besides what we have seen here and on other forums and VZW and LG won't tell you anything about it. I am due for NE2 in November so I am in no rush to buy right now, but I would love to get the actual phone in my hands to play with. Based on the information, it will be my next phone but does anyone have a more realistic release date?

I have a LG vx 9800, and I'm wanting to upgrade, but first I have a few questions. Like : 1) Can I enable the MP3 player via the "Secret Menu", 2) Can I use BitPim to upload my own MP3 ringtones like I can with my current version. 3) Can the MP3 player be "put in the background" and allow me to play music and browse the web like on the LG Chocolate. 4) Can I change the "Themes" the colors where the battery, signal, menu left & right soft key logos are from red to some other color.

🙂 Hi, I am stuck in a rut trying to figure out which phone to get. Its between this one and the samsung a930. I have read the reviews on each phone and i am still stuck. Currently i have a samsung (a670) and some people have said stick with that brand if it has worked for you. My roommate has a 9800 and I have an 8100. I thought that the Verizon Stereo Headset allowed you to answer phone calls from it also. The one that he has doesn't allow that on either of our phones. It is a Jabra.

how do i put music videos on my mini sd

i was wondering if there was a way to turn sounds into ringtones because i have some sounds on my phone in the folder My Sounds that are actually song clips but i want to make them my ringtone. anyone have any idea? theres no "set as ringtone" option for the sounds

I downloaded some wallpaper for the inner screen and I REALLY like them .... unfortunately, if I were to delete/uninstall the Get-It-Now wallpaper program, those wallpapers get deleted too.

Is there a way to save them by using BitPim or something?

My roommate just bought this phone. He noticed that even when he has the speaker phone turned off, when he opens the phone, it has the speaker phone icon on the bottom of the screen. Is this normal?


Also, if he opens the phone when he has a call coming in, it automatically goes to speakerphone. Is this normal?

Is there a way to set the picture orientation before you take a picture w/ the V? As in, for instance, I take a pic w/ the phone upright and the picture is saved on the phone sideways... no matter how i flip the phone - whether upright, sideways (like a regular digicam), open upright and open landscape; even dual lcd - all orientations are sideways. I end up having to send the pic to my computer via cable, then change the pic's upright and send them back to the phone....

Another question - are there hotkeys for Night Mode and Dual LCD? I know there is one for flash by pressing the 3 key....

is there anywhere to get free games on this phone?

I have tried maximum and minimum settings and I cannot figure out how to get videos to be larger and/or longer .... no matter what I do, they end up going no farther than 15 seconds. Granted, I don't want to videotape as I would with a camcorder; but I would like to get 3-5 mins of video .... heck, maybe even 2 minutes ... but something MORE than 15 seconds. Is there a setting I have to adjust to get the longer lasting video flavor?

I just bought this phone and was trying to get some new ringers on my phone. I downloaded the program audacity to shorten songs from my computer. I saved them as mp3s and then emailed them to my phone. They came through, but when I saved them, it went into "my sounds." Other LG phones have an option that when you open the picture message to save as ringtone. Is this an option on this phone and i missed it? Otherwise, how can you move something from "my sounds" to "my ringtones"?
