Samsung SCH-A950

hi,
i just bought the sch-a950 and i dont understand how to transfer mp3.. i got the trans flash card and the adapter? i tought i could just but the trans flash car in my cell plus the usb cable and transfer mp3 but theres still no driver and i dont have a cd? do i really need the adadpter to tranfer? i have the the card adapter but not the adapte thanks for helping

I just found out that 2 GB mini disks are available for purchase; am wondering if anyone knows whether the SCH-A950 supports them?
I saw a disclaimer that some of the LG phones don't, so I don't want to invest in the 2 GB unless I know that my phone will support it.

Does anyone out there have any authoritative information on this? Thanks!

I am trying to figure out how to delete the old ringtones from my sound folder. I can delete the actual file off my memory but the shortcut stays in my sound folder. It's not taking up any memory but now I have a very cluttered looking sounds folder. Thanks for the help

I upgraded from the A670 with Verizon and have noted that the sound quality of voice conversations is worse. Has anyone else noted this? Do I just have a bad phone, and should I get Verizon to swap it out for a new A950, or should I just deal with it? I am happy with the phone overall except the sound quality.

I just recently bought a Jabra BT620s for my samsung sch a950.
Unfortunately I didn't do enough research to find out that the bluetooth version of m samsung doesn't have the A2DP and AVRCP profile.
Is there any way to upload this profiles to my phone or change bluetooth fimware?

I found a way to get free ringtones on the Samsung a950. First you have to have a card reader and the transflash media card. You need to convert your sound file to a .qcp file. A converter you can use is called GCD Creator. It can convert .wav files to .qcp. It can be found here, http://www.sprintusers.com/downloads/gcdcreat or/. After you downloaded it and installed it, open it and on the left side there three options, Open, Batch GCD, WAV to QCP. Open up the WAV to QCP option and upload your file, and save to desired directory. Then put the .qcp file on the flash card under SOUNDS. And thats it.

I just got the a950, not sure what I think. Does anyone know of a way to configure the phone to accept my personal WMA music files as ringtones? If not does the Moto e815 perhaps support that? A950 vs E815? Any opinions?

This phone came out at the same time as the LG 8100, and LG rolled out the VX8300 this weekend. Is Samsung going to replace this phone anytime soon? I know the A930 came out recently, but it seems a little bit of a step backward with that small external display.

i recently purchased a samsung a950. Its a great phone,but i notice that when i am using the headset or speakerphone that i cannot type in my voicemail password, but then as soon as i disconnect the headset or turn off speakerphone it will accept my voicemail password with no problems. Is this normal, or do i have a defective unit?

I have a problem e-mailing from my a950. When I try to send an e-mail an error pops up:
HTTP Error: 403 Forbidden
It comes up just when I select e-mail option from messages. What should I do? Also if I want to set an MP3 as my ringer I know that I have to send it as an e-mail to my phone but I don't know what is my phone e-mail address, that's why I'm trying to send e-mail to my computer and reply it back but I have this error problem. What should I do?

Havent even looked into this phone at all but im looking at it now and its looking really nice. I wud be buying this phone retail. BUt does anyone know if you can set a voice record as a ringtone? Thanks

Is there anyway to keyguard the music player buttons. My phone's play button was accidentally pushed during the wrong time and my music started playing.

Is there any way to reset the phone so that all contacts are erased ? I am trying to erase all the contacts stored in this phone.

I've only had this phone for about 18 hours and am debating whether or not to keep it, or trade it in for the A970. The keys on the A950 are really small and difficult to press, and I don't like the fact that the backlight and the front LCD go black while on a call. I don't intend on subscribing to V Cast (such a waste of money), so maybe the A970 is a better option? Or are these things standard on all Samsungs? Any feedback is welcomed. I'd rather not go through the hassle of returning this, so if you can convince me to keep it I will!

I just got this phone yesterday, and after having the same phone (LG VX 7000) for 2 years it's taking some getting used to. 🤤

Couple of things: is there a way to keep the Front LCD display lit longer? I know that there is the option to change the main LCD and the Keypad.

Also - I want to keep the backlight and the Front LCD on while i'm on a call. Any way to do this?

I just bought my phone this past week and have had no luck getting my mp3s to play on it. I bought a transflash card and transfered the mp3s on to it. When I insert the card back into my phone I am unable to access any of my mp3s. Does anyone know what the problem might be.

with bitpim recently adding the a950 to its list of supported phones, my roommate (who has been watching me have fun with bitpim and my 8100) tried to use the program to no avail.

bitpim is recognizing his phone, but he can't "send" or "get" data to or from his phone. he's using the Vcast Music cable from the Verizon store, and i thought i'd heard something about that not working with bitpim.

can anyone help? should i tell him to just send some feedback to bitpim and wait for an update?

I just bought the a950 about one month ago and I have been doing everything possible to get movies on it. I went out and bought a 512mb micro SD and I also got the Xilisoft 3GP Video Converter. When i finally converted the movie to 3GP and put it in the MY Flix folder on the card and went to play it, it was so slow that the screen moved a little and the audio was already over with. I saw people were able to simply but an hour movie on it and I can not get away with a 5 minute AMV. So does anyone know whats going on?

SCH-A950. Does anybody know how to unlock my phone or use my bluetooth headset w/ my music files? please advise!!?

I went through all of the posts in this forum and didn't see an answer to my problem. I just bought the a950 and the music essentials kit this week. Verizon informed me this is all I would need to transfer music from my pc to phone. After installing the software that was included I tried to sync mp3s from my laptop and it is saying that my usb port is not high speed. I have a Dell laptop that is only approx. 3 years old. One of the reasons for buying this phone was to be able to transfer my music to the phone. Any suggestions on what else I might need to do?
