Samsung SCH-A950

The first set of song files I put on the card are in alphabetical order, but I've since added more to the card and the songs are in random order (the first set is still in alphabetical) anyone have any ideas on how to correct this???

Hey guys, just wanted to share that Circuit City has the San Disk 512 MB Transflash cards on sale for $49.99 + tax and an additional $11 mail-in rebate if anyone is interested. I picked one up yesterday.

So I got the TransFlash memory card and the card reader. So I put the card in the phone and turn off the phone and turn it back on, then take out the card and put it into the reader. But the problem is that when I go to my computer and to the card there is no MY_MP3 folder to put the mp3's in. There is MY_FLIX, MY_PIX, MY_MUSIC, MY_SOUNDS. So i tried to put the music in the MY_MUSIC folder, but it doesnt want to open in my phone? What do i do? (and i made sure there were mp3 format)

okay im takin advantage of the sending the mp3s to 10digitmobilenumber@vxwpix.com only thing is my full mp3s average around 4.00 mbs and the phone will not recieve message if its too big....how do i make small clips of my mp3s to make them compatible to send them and assign as ringtones any help is apreciated

When I first added mp3 files onto the card they were in alphabetical order. But I have since added new files to the card and they were put at the end of the original list of songs in a random order. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to correct it?

I recently purchase the a950 and my phone is often searching for an EVDO signal and draining my battery. I tried the suggestion previously posted about hitting * under tools and settings but it doesnt say "??????" , but after entering 6 "0's" like it said to, it goes to another menue called service Programing, with no option that i could find that had anything to do with EVDO. When I hit "6" it didnt go to the CDMA/EVDO menu like it was supposed to. Does anyone with the latest firmware know how to disable EVDO on the Samsung a950? I have the YK24 version. Thanks... 🙂

I downloaded the trial version of the 3GP Video Converter so that I could check it out before investing in the full version. I used it a couple times to convert my avi home movies, but now when I try to convert, I get the sound with a still picture; the video and audio don't seem to by synching up. Can anyone offer any tricks to fix this? Thanks!

I accidentally erased the 1st text message that verizon sends you with your phones PIN # in it. Is the PIN important to have? What is it used for? And how can I get it back if i need it?

I got this phone last Tuesday and had some issues, so I took it to the store and exchanged it. The first one had the yk25 version but the second one has the yk24 version. I was just wondering what the difference was between them.

I steal music. That is just what I do. Windows media player 10 will not work on my OS because I don't use a common platform. I am very tech savvy. I just purchased a 950 and was not told about the confines of verizon's corporate Nazism. My questions are

1. I know that the WMA file is 64 kbps, what are the other file specs? like **Hz and **bits

2. The "player error" message either comes from the wrong WMA format or my lack of licence to own the file (I steal music). I loaded a song that has a valid windows media licence and it gave me a invalid licence message??

3. Does verizon automatically update the software on your phone?

Does anyone know if Napster-to-go will work with the SCH-A950?

I purchased a couple of songs from Musicmatch and was surprised to see that they _do_ work on this phone.

(I'm with Verizon and have the version of software that has the .wma and not the .mp3 player).

hey i was able to send an mp3 clip to the phone, but when i play it it sounds verrry horrible, like there is feedback going on, changing the bitrate when i encode the mp3 doesnt change it, and i dont want to put it in standalone to fix this problem because i want my ringtones to sound good when people call, any suggestions?

🙂 Hi everyone. I just got this phone on Tuesday and I seem to be having some issues. During calls, the phone keeps cutting in and out and I have a full signal (4 bars). My battery also keeps running down rather fast and I haven't even added/downloaded anything to it. Does anyone have any advice?
