Motorola RAZR V3c

for all those out there who are hoping the verizon will chagne th ui on the razor , thats not gonna happen , in fact verizon will release all there furture phones with this ui including all future motorola modles . it is being done in an effort "to make it easier for customers and users to understand cellular phones" that sucks

I read a thread somewhere in which someone claimed they called Motorola and was told that Motorola would install the standard moto UI on the razr if you sent it to them. Can anyone confirm this or is this too good to be true?

I tried calling but got put on a really long hold and had to hang up to make a phone call.

anybody know how to change the speed dials on this phone or do i have to delete all my contacts and reset the speed dials?

also, how do i set my voicemail so i don't have to punch in my password?

Does the razr have digit dialing? Which means from the bluetooth headset you could just say a number and it would dial.

Hey, I live in western NC as well near Asheville. I guess there will always be dead spots in the mountains. So far I am impresseed with reception as it is as good or better compared to my V710. However, even though the lag between menus is 1-2 seconds, I find that unacceptable as other people have stated theirs has no lag and other phones the menu comes up at the touch of the button. Also after paying $300 for a phone, I expect it to not have that kind of a flaw.Can't decide if I should swap it out for another one or just wait for the software upgrade. Your thoughts, opinions?

Will this supposed software update in january cure the lag problem between the home screen and menu or contacts? Is it free to get this software update? thanks

I'm a new RAZR V3C owner and am looking for an answer to this question. Can I use my phone as a modem to connect to Verizon's 3G network and surf? If yes, do I just need the USB cable to do that?

sorry but i'm just getting a little fed up with people complaining over and over about the new standard ui. i love it and think it fits the razr just fine. the razr rocks....great call clarity and reception. it does what a phone is supposed to do...make and recieve calls. and it does it with style. 😁

This may be a dumb question, but why is everyone so concerned about vibrate and ring at the same time? I have my phone ring when I'm at home or in a place where I don't care if it makes noise, and I put it on vibrate (or silent or off) when I'm at work, the movies, etc. I just don't understand why I'd ever want both at the same time. Not knocking anybody who likes it that way, just trying to understand why it's such a popular feature people are returning their RAZRs because it can't seem to do it. Maybe I'm missing something! Thanks...

Just curious if this phone has a Release and Answer feature. If you don't know what I am talking about...When you are on the phone and someone calls, Release and Answer will get rid of the call you are on and pick up the new call.

That way you don't get stuck leaving someone a 15 minute voice mail when someone calls you while you are leaving the message.


If I were to hit the end call button when a call waiting call comes in...does it disconnect both lines?

Is there anyway to check the time on the exterior display without opening the phone?

(pushing the side buttons puts it in ringer style selection menu which hides the time)

While on a call can you hear what you are saying to the other person in the earpiece? Not an echo, word-for-word.

Is this true or did I hear a rumor? Just wondering. I just ordered one.

hey how are you all?I got my Rarz yeserday and love it..the only thing I hate is that the phone wont ring and virbate at the same time?anybody know how to change that.. I treid to look through the manual or even in the phone but it just does not do that?Other question is that I saw that the Q is going to come out soon?should I wait for the Q or keep the Rarz?what do you guys think?

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this or if you've told us. Have you ever owned a Motorola phone before?

The reason why I ask this is because your so happy with the VZW/LG UI system.. I feel that if you owned a Motorola before you would be right along with everyone else.

I was an assistant manager for VZW until last month when I parted with the company.. This UI thing is very big deal to VZW and to its consumers.. You are right the VZW UI is very easy & will be on every new phone from this point on so we should all get used to it if we plan to stay on VZW, but you have to understand coming from a moto menu system the UI lacks so many things. Have had V3c for 4 days now and found the reception to be poor. When razr is put next to my 815, the razr has up to 3-4 bars less than than the razr. When in any building, the razr has no signal. Just changed-out to a new razr today...no diff.

I sent a 300kb mp3 file to my friends razr and it will play and sounds perfect, but it will not allow him to set it as his ringtone. How do you set it to your ringtone, or can you not? Does he have to buy Mobile PhoneTools?

Is there any way to turn off the external/internal displays while charging?
